Apparently SJIJ is quite an academically driven school and I believe the environment will be very competitive indeed as most of the students are sure to be above average.
However, I am still a little confused by what I read from their website. It says: "The Josephian Programme(JP) is the 10-year linked education programme offered by St. Joseph’s Institution(SJI) and St. Joseph’s Institution Junior (SJI Junior) to all its boys from Primary 1 to Secondary 4. The JP provides each boy who spends 10 years in SJI and SJI Junior a strong eucational programme that is alligned and systematically developmental in programmes and pedagogies."
Maybe they should rephrase it as I have the impression that it is not only available but compulsory to all SJIJ students. -

Through Josephian programme(JP), SJIJ is committed to nurture their boys' spiritual intelligence(SQ) and emotional intelligence(EQ). SJIJ believe that together we our innate mental intelligence(IQ), coupled with SQ and EQ, we will be able live holistic, productive and meaningful lives. SJIJ has quite a few niche CCA, e.g. Badminton, Soccer and Robotics.
Throughout the 3 years in SJIJ, my son had always looking forward to going to school. Every time, when I stepped into the school, the students are always cheerful, playing and chit-chatting. Josephian Talent Programme(JTP) starts only at Pri.4.
In United Square, you will find SJIJ students mainly in McDonalds, seldom can you find them around tution centres. -

but after the opening day we feel even more comfortable with the school. but we find the price of canteen food a little high! -

scgs does not take parent volunteers for registration purposes. you can be a parent volunteer i'm sure, but its not going to help you get into phase 2B. -

Looks like i have to move to secure my daughter a place there.[/quote]i'm sure. i am aiming for my daughter to get in there as well. either move to within 1km or obtain grassroots leadership priority - this will guarantee a place. every year, only about 20 or so go in via phase 2B simply because grassroots is the only option for that phase.
