my lil piggy’s kindy had this incorporated into their school curriculum. they have sportball once a week.

afaik, basically, there’s a coach each week specialising in a sport, eg. hockey, etc. they’ll provide a soften version of the hockey stick, goal post, balls, etc and will teach the children on the rules of the game and basic maneuvres.

i won’t consider the lessons as rough, nor as loose play, in fact, i think the coaches handle the kids really well and for the whole year, no "accidents". my lil piggy always looked forward to sportball day.

        I see. thanks icy_mama.

from what i understand they are actually trying to teach the kids on sportsmanship thru sports. (DUH!) :rotflmao:

So just wanted to find out if its really working on the kids.

          something like that. 😉

for my lil piggy, she's the princessy kind who don't want to get her hair messy, so not really working for her. 😆

          but fun, definitely, yes.

My kids joined their holiday programs before. They’ve got great coaches! We had a Sportball birthday party too when my DS1 was 6! Excellent! Really fun for all the kids!
