        phtthp:
Based on past years trend, Nan Hua Phase 2A(2) most likely enter balloting this year, due to 40 seats reserved.

        http://www.nanhuapri.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x ... id=1084434

Before second day of Phase 2A(2) is up -
The staff in charge of registration will inform parents which distance range group need to ballot.
Is it 2A(2) within 2 km or more than 2 km, need to ballot ?
If they ballot within 1 to 2 km, means those exceed 2 km no chance, have to enrol in other schools.

But if more than 2 km ballot -
The luckier ones will still get in.

        You don't need to de-register.
Wait until 2nd day of Phase 2A(2) around 4 pm.
By then, you more or less will be informed which distance group need to ballot.

        On Day 2 around 4 pm :-
If (1 to 2 km) ballot means > 2 km no chance, then quickly rush over to your husband ex school, to register, before 4.30 pm close.
Your husband must be ready, sitting inside his ex school.

If > 2 km need to ballot -
You have to decide whether you want to try luck in balloting, or give it up & enrol in yr husband ex school.

Think Henry Park and Ai Tong may also be affected
        Hello phtthp,

Thanks for the link! I see the trend that registering under Phase 2A2 within 1-2KM are quite low in numbers compared to those more than 2KM. I am intending to register using my mum's address as I stayed more than 2KM away. Although my mum just stayed 2 bus stop away, but I have to compete with those staying 1-2KM (wonder why MOE have such rules 😢 ). Base on the trend, hopefully I will not need balloting in 2A2 under 1-2KM.

And yes, I do have plans to standby with hubby at his pri sch on 2nd day incase really need balloting for 1-2KM. Really cross fingers the trend continues this year with minimal registers for 1-2KM under 2A2!

We recently moved within 1km from nyps and rgps. Daughter is due for pri one registration Phase 2c in jul/aug 2014 - was rejected after pv interview at nyps last year. Preference is nyps bcos of affiliation to my alma mater nyghs, but we are happy if daughter can get into rgps too.

Any advice for the upcoming pri one registration, on deciding which school to go ahead during ph 2c? Any idea usually how many pv does nyps have every year? Approximately how many grassroots leaders apply for nyps annually and do these grassroots usually stay within 1km? Roughly more than how many vacancies left for ph2c for nyps, then should we consider applying for nyps?Noticed in 2013 registration, chance of success at ph2c balloting within 1km decreased greatly (maybe because of new condos deleedon)…the MOE ruling of 40 places do not really affect nyps and rgps for ph 2c right?

            Thanks

              Hi all!

Any idea when is the registration date? Tks!
              2015 P1 intake (born 2008 : year of Rat)

Phase 1 registration (sibling) start on 1 July 2014 (Tuesday), after June school holiday end.

Primary Schools have started giving out forms today to existing, currently enrolled (P1 to P6) students -
asking if any younger sibling joining the school next year, 2015 ?
Parents may check with your respective school.
              (For your action)

Note the dateline, to return back the form, in your child's school.

                Hello Rata,

So which school are you planning to enter? Is your ex-primary school too?
Infact for many years usually Phase 2A will not have any balloting. But due to this year rule change, most popular schools that have usually less than 40 balance for Phase 2B/C, highly chance will get balloting. So guess it benefits those registering for 2B/C parents but not us.

lywong, I am looking at Fairfield. for the past yrs history the new rule of 40s set aside will ve no problem for my old sch but but.... last yr siao siao lei left 35 seats so I might ve the risk of balloting too. 😞

What happens to those who are ballot out of phase 2A2? Do they register in phase 2C hence increasing the competition of this category ?
