Yes, TNS PV is traffic warden duty only but covers duties at

      - main gate
      - back gate
      - canteen gate
      - zebra crossing at back gate
      - zebra crossing inside school

IMO Canteen gate is the easiest & least stress … sheltered from the weather and basically stop parents from entering school.

Past years balloting for phase 2B has been between 1-2 km.

Registeration for PV for 2005 babies has started in Jan and will close once there are more applicants than available PV places. Applicants will then be invited to the school to attend a briefing of the duties and open balloting.

        Hi Tankee,

To get into TNS by PV is strictly by 80 visits as Traffic Wardens?
There is no other duties to perform at TNS?

I got into phase 2B as PV.

I did traffic warden duties, twice a week, 10 weeks per term for 4 terms.

Good thing about TNS is that they do not expect PV parents to do more than 40 hours and if the day you are supposed to be on duty and there is no school (eg public holiday, swimming competition, PSLE marking, etc), then you may not need to do makeup.

And that would be very ironical should the rumoured move become a reality šŸ˜‰

Not sure the exact year but it is true that Tao Nan will be relocating. Most prob 2013 to Tampines.

There is no official word on this. And if TNS does shift, it is very likely to be for short-term while the current premise is being upgraded.

There is still the option to reduce the number of classes to meet the single session requirement.

This rumour has been around for quite a whole already. Surprise that it has not turned into fact yet.

Is there any official word on the shifting of TNS yet?

My boy is 3 this yr, and I’m going to apply through Phase 2B. (Thru SHHK route).
Will it affect his application if the school shifts during his enrolment year? (we will be staying within 1km from the present site).

I wrote an email a week ago to the school and have yet to receive a reply from them. I wonder if there will even reply to my query.
