Disneyland

Some differential in every Disneyland when it comes to the ride. But, I found it such a waste of time and money to queue up for those, when majority of the park is just a repetition.2ppaamm, actually Disney does upgrade their rides and shows. I remember when I was in LA, no Buzz and \"Honey I shrunk my kids\" nor the \"Pooh bear\" ride yet. Then I found them in Tokyo.
Then when at HK, I found the Lilo and Stitch one very memorable and again not seen in my previous trips to the other Disneyland..
So for me, Disneyland does hold its magic for me, either that or I am just being Peter Pan la....
Honey I shrunk my kids were in LA and Florida, mah... Trying hard to remember Lilo and Stitch... was it the talking-show kind of thing? I attended the Pu Tong Hua one!
I told myself I'll not go Disneyland for another 3 years or so. In the last 2 years, I visited Disney resorts 7 times... I had too much of an overload. Time to unload... Queuing up is really something that I don't want to do anymore, especially the Tokyo one. Goodness, where did all the humans come from? I guess it tends to get more crowded in Asia because of the population.
Anyone heard of Shenzhen's Mi Qi Yu Peng You米奇与朋友? That one, I will be more interested in visiting, sans the copyright. Heh heh... -

Have not heard, but be careful in Shenzhen, there are many pickpockets there. -

7 times in 2 years...no wonder.... I also feel heavy..
I don't like queuing too, waste of time. Not true only of Asia, when I went LA I needed a 2-day pass because alot of waiting to do but that was eons ago. Never heard of Shenzhen's Mi Qi Yu Peng You米奇与朋友, only been to 世界之窗 so far and this one has no rides but all the famous places in mini size. -

Haven't been to Shenzhen for more than 5 years, so not sure of the situation. But definitely want to try something different from Disneyland. -

Having been to so many Disneylands, I'm actually quite tired of them all. The rides are repeated in one way or another in every country. And, I'd much prefer to sleep than to queue. I find it very tiring and waste of time. Having said all that, I'd still go. Simply because my kids are young only once. I've had my chance at childhood, they deserve theirs.
Have you been to DisneySea? -
Went to Disney sea in Tokyo in august. Can't remember much during the 2 days there except they were spraying water near the restaurant we were eating. Then one one of rides were down . I think it was journey to the centre of the earth or something. I got pretty tired so went home half way. went to see cirque Next door instead.
I've heard rave reviews. But honestly, as long as there is a HUGE crowd, I'm just put off. Asia is so full of people... -
Re: Tokyo Disneyland
Has anyone been last week of Nov or 1st week of Dec ? How was the weather and crowd situation ? I definitely do not want to waste too much time queing up.
For HK Disneyland, end June to July are typical typhoon months so may get some rain. We’ve been in mid Nov and weather was just mildly cool and also not much crowds. HK summer sales typically July/August and those are super duper HOT months with many ROC crowds too. Avoid if possible. -

may be too cold for outdoor rides especially roller coasters type -

It may not be so crowded late Nov - don't think it's the peak period yet.

When we went to Tokyo Disney, it was 2nd/3rd week Dec (i think it was the week before Christmas). Super super cold. Disney Sea was colder - I think it was the wind chill factor. But no regrets. We just bundled everyone up in thermal wear and all the layers. During that period, there was the Christmas theme, so it was extra special to my family.
As for the queues, well, if you dislike queueing for hours, then maybe go during the off-peak period. As much as our family hates crowded places and queueing, we didn't mind the long wait for all the rides and activities when we were at Disney. I guess, when going on holiday, just go with the flow and have a spirit of adventure. No point getting stressed otherwise it spoils the mood of everyone else.
In fact, we took the queueing as part of the holiday fun. In any case, you can go for the Fast Pass tickets and enjoy other activities in the mean time.
Alternatively, what u can do is to plan your trip / route in Disney. Prioritise your rides. Go early in the morning and head for the popular or must-do rides first. So you don't have to queue too long. Then you can pick and choose what you want to do after that.
My kids were 8yo and 10yo then. Tokyo Disney has remained one of our family all time-fave hols.

Feedback noted with thanks.
Not stressed but we just don’t like to "waste time" queueing. 1hr tops maybe, but 2-3hrs we rather do something else. Definitely will be making use of Fastpass whenever possible. At the moment, 50-50 chance…we may drop Disneyland altogether…still thinking.
