      Blue Pearl:
though we go out together, there more times he spend playing his hp than talking to me. just feel hitting the phone. During dating, his hp totally switched off.... how i envy those days.

just curious, why not letting him know you prefer the phone to be off?

I know a friend who agreed on a fine system with her husband - whoever used the phone first while \"dating\" get fined. it works for them 😃

Okay to use phone. We do that too. So long not excessive. Example checking and replying whatapps messages. Temptation to touch my phone is there but I try to minimize use la because the whole point of going out as a couple is to spend time together

It is not easy to find a great relationship today, but if you are in a good relationship already or are looking to find a wonderful relationship, it is better to know something about men. It is well known men are different from women and once women know what those differences are they can work around those. If you have not read the book \"Self-Made Man\" by Norah Vincent, then the book has top ten principles for women to develop a strong relationship with their partner, whether it be you boyfriend, husband, or just a friend. Try it and maybe it can help like what you want \"Thinking of going for Marriage Encounter to spice things up...\" Cheers šŸ˜‰

I really think that Smartphone is the terminator of deep relationships. Whenever I am in restaurant, cafe or even coffee shop, there are bound to be couples who stare at their phone playing Facebook, Whatsapp or games instead of talking to their partners. Then why go for one on one dinner in first place.

No connection was made. Everyone is in their own digital world. I wonder will it come a day where people Whatsapp each other when face to face.

Sorry, I don't agree. DH n I are also on our phones before our meals are served. Afterthat, they will be put aside. DH n I do talk regularly n not necessarily so just at mealtimes.

I do whatsapp my kids even when we are in separate rooms. I find it much easier than to go over to talk to them.

So I don't see smart phones as an issue so long as you are in control of it.

smartphone reduces the likelihood of hubby buying the WRONG things in supermarket. I take a pic to whatsapp him stuff to buy from pharmacy. when in doubt, he will take a pic to ask if it is correct. gone are the days when I tell him, 'aiyah, why you buy the wrong brand again.' :rotflmao:

Nowadays, when I ask DH to get anything from some shop, 1st response is, send me a pic. Address? Send pic. How to do without smartphone?
