I would support registration for P1 for 2009 intake is this year in Jul-Sep right?

I actually live right within 1km of St Hilda, and like everyone here, i would love to place my kid there.

however, i have also shortlisted Poiching as another choice…

I would like to seek advise, should I go for St Hilda’s or just skip and go for PoiChing?

I’m afraid that even though I live nearby St Hilda, I might not get the slot and end up in some duno-what school and even lose Poiching as a choice.

What would you parents do in this situation?
Both SHPP and PoiChing are within 1 KM of my residence…

Looking forward to hearing from all of you! thanks!

I went for PCS because of its SAP environment. SHPP performance are mainly due to her GEP intake. I have got 4 nephews from there as their mums were old girls, and frankly i'm not impressed with the school.

Above are my frank view only.

I do not believe that everyone here would like to place their kids in St. Hilda. I sent my DD to PoiChing because it is a SAP school with strong Chinese language curriculum. Strong focus on dual languages is important to me.

frankly speaking I dun like their yunyu curriculum.

too muc empathise on words recognition, the chn character r so "chim". Find they sh focus more on sentence construction, which in rtn will ease them into chn compo. my DS is in P2 tis yr…
            just my personal opinion

Maybe I will be the chauffeur...

Also, check whether got school bus service fetch your dd from Toa Payoh to Poi Ching primary (in Tampines), and school bus charges per month (1 way or 2 ways.)

In case sometimes you not free to fetch your dd to school on certain days, still need to rely on school bus, throughout (P1 to P6).

Ya i think should still stand by school bus for emergency, cos i know some bus allow for like per daily. Of cos that will be worst scenario cos child may not want to follow too.

Hi, I have the yun yu pen reading pen which I bought for my son but didn’t have much use for it as ds can read pretty well. He is already in P4 now. If anyone is interested to buy over from me, please PM me.

                      Hi PC Parents,

DS bought a plate of rice and egg from a stall in the school canteen. It costs 80 cents , he gave the seller $1 and expect the 20 cents change. But the seller gave only 10 cents change . When DS asked for additional change, she shoo him away. Anyone kids experience this ?
