RE: All About Home Addresses
"In a small number of cases, there may be situations where the families are unable to remain at the address used for registration for the entire duration of the child’s primary school studies. Even so, a child who gains priority admission into a school through his/her distance category is required to reside at the address used for registration for at least 30 months from the commencement of the P1 registration exercise on 2 July 2015. If this condition is not met, MOE reserves the right to transfer the child to another school with vacancies, as the priority admission to the first school was based on the declared address used for registration."

RE: [Punggol] Primary Schools
Hi parents,
I am originally staying in Tampines and am moving to Punggol this month.
As I am planning to register my child in P1 at Punggol next year, what are the steps I need to do, in order to register?
Is it just popping by the Police Station to update my address will do? -

Thank you sir, that's what i thought too. But i got abit jittery when my friend told me that upon collection of keys, Gov will push you to change ur IC to the new home address, and it happened to her and her brother.
If you are still living in Tampines and that's reflected in your NRIC, that's the address you will register under. To confirm, call MOE.jetzie:
Hi,
A good friend just brought this to my attention. Wondering if that would be a problem
we are currently living in Tampines with our parents, we have recently (1 month ago) gotten keys to our new home in Punggol.
We are however not planning to move until 1-2 years later. Does it mean that this year, when my daughter is due to register for Primary school, I can and should be applying for Tampines right?
please advise as I really dont know what i should do or whom i should ask to clarify this matter
I thought this sounded quite bull, as it is ridiculous to change the IC address to somewhere else when you are still living at the old address. -

Have anyone of you used OneMap recently? I’m just trying to re-confirm that SHPS and PCS are within 1km of my residence.
However the map doesnt seem to load or load right…
Anyone able to assist? My postal code is 525856 -
RE: Poi Ching
I would support registration for P1 for 2009 intake is this year in Jul-Sep right?
I actually live right within 1km of St Hilda, and like everyone here, i would love to place my kid there.
however, i have also shortlisted Poiching as another choice…
I would like to seek advise, should I go for St Hilda’s or just skip and go for PoiChing?
I’m afraid that even though I live nearby St Hilda, I might not get the slot and end up in some duno-what school and even lose Poiching as a choice.
What would you parents do in this situation?
Both SHPP and PoiChing are within 1 KM of my residence…
Looking forward to hearing from all of you! thanks! -
