Hi there,
The topic about dentist visits give me the shivers as my son is a NIGHTMARE when we visit the PD and he requested to see my son’s mouth. He will kick and cry and me and my hubby need to hold him down so that PD can take a quick look. Now in the new pre-school, must check mouth and hands/legs daily, nightmare again… -
I am very sad now. I have an asd child in kindy and I just discovered that I am preg! my hub and I are in shock. we do not want #2 actually cos we are worried of the asd genes as well as $$ tight… I am not happy at all now

Congratulations! It may not be that bad after all. My 2nd child doesn't have asd and she helped my #1 out of his shell. Every since her arrival, he has changed a lot. And I am very glad that I've given a sibling for him to learn from. Now they learn from each other's strengths. When they grow up, they will be a good support for each other esp since we as parents won't live forever. Many of us here have 1 asd child and the other one turned out neurotypical. -
I agree with u…same situation with my kids.

problem is, my child is going to p1 next year and it’s also around my edd, if everything goes well. I am the one and only caregiver. how am I to juggle between both?! -

Hi, do not be sad. I know of one whose first born was ASD diagnosed and in Pathlight now. The younger girl is a smart and fast learner without ASD. The younger girl is able to help the mum take care of the elder brother and play with him.
It is a blessing in disguise.
Congrats! -

A gd friend has 1st child with asd, now at JC 2, aiming to go to Uni. 2nd child is \"normal\" and is extremely smart.
P.S The 1st child had interventions since young and his mum quit her well paying job in order to focus her efforts on him. -

Can be done. I'm a sahm without any help. Have taken care of both my kids like this all along. Have a confinement nanny for the first month. For your P1, send him on a school bus. I brought my 2nd one along when the older one has therapy unless the grandparents could help.thanks for your kind words.
