So much hw from school... no time to revise

Yes... I am actually feeling jittery... There is so much hw for my P3 and P6 and there is so little time left for revision. There is only so much time a day. I am really getting 😓 :nailbite:

      Mummy MMM :hugs:
I am in the same situation as you - splitting my time between my P3 and P6 😓 :nailbite: But, take heart - a step at a time and Jiayou! :celebrate:

          Hi champion, how are you?

You have a child taking PSLE this year?
Haven’t seen much of your posts recently…guess you must be super stretched with work and coaching…take care.

            Hi Mummy Janet :hugs:
Yes, my DD1 will be taking her PSLE this year :nailbite: :scared:
            I seldom venture into those PSLE-related threads because I have a \"weak heart\": 😉 and can't take on too much stress! 😆

But just like to pop in at times to encourage parents here that we have one another to support and cheer on! This is the first national exam for our 11/12 years old so we have to be strong mentally and physically to cheer them on! :celebrate: :celebrate:

              Hi champion,

I do not venture into threads on subjects too...they are too stressful to read.
Even assessment books now, I don't want to be kiasu and buy unless necessary...syllabus always changing...always revising titles :stupid:

thanks for the encouragement and support

DS is already a quiet boy by nature, now with this stress, he is worse
i just keep cheering him on and encourage him
even name a few rewards to perk him up

we have to monitor the children workload and make sure that they don't burn out before psle. ds being an active and playful boy is showing signs of frustration when given too much hw by the school. Luckily, his teachers have stopped the hw last fri to allow them to revise for SA1.

Yup...have to monitor the kids closely for fatigue.
Those in p6, make sure they don't get burnt out YET...still have June, July and August. Schools will push hard from July. Drink lots of water, reduce oily/deep fried food before PSLE oral. All the best.

Err... don't think u meant burnt out rite? Cos we wouldn't want burnt out at any point in time. You mean peaking?

i cant wait for SA1 to be over so me and DS can take a break before the big exam. 😞

PSLE, O Level n A Level years are the most stressful years of any Singapore student.

Just have to ren until its over.

                    😄

that's why some schools do away with O level (IP) to reduce stress....... :rahrah:

You mean peaking?[/quote]just a general question for everyone here with PSLE kids... how long do u think a 12 year old kid can stay at the peak? ie. at the top form and best shape for the PSLE examination. 2-3weeks or 1-2months?

why don't they remove PSLE, stream the kids according to learning abilities every 2 years in the same Primary and Secondary... I think many European countries are doing that...
