Hi I heard there is a open house going on in west spring ! Wondering is for exist parents (watch children performing) or new K2 parents?


Or can I just go and see as during the first day of school ,some places like playground, library ,field was not ready!

Although my DD is not in this school, I happen to navigate this thread when I see the reply from West Spring Pri Sch. As a parent, I am impressed with the concerted effort made by the school to reach out to the parents in this manner.

The Open House on 15 May 2014 is meant only for the potential parents in the P1 registration 2015. Parents must have registered online in order to be able to participate in the Open House. The registration has now been closed due to over-whelming response. The school is currently looking into opening up more places for potential parents. Do look out for it on our school website on 9 May 2014.

The Open House on 15 May 2014 is meant only for the potential parents in the P1 registration 2015. Parents must have registered online in order to be able to participate in the Open House. Thanks for the reply ! I’m glad my child is a west springer ! Everyday I see many happy children 's faces coming out from the school gate although after the remedial/enrichment classes makes my day!

My girl likes the school very much.

I have a little feedback on one issue. We were very happy that Principal said that she understands that parents leave is very limited and that the orientation day in Jan was the same day as the first day of school. But since then there are lots of events, workshops for parents to attend. I know it’s a choice for parents to come or not. But we want to come and be apart of our girls school but our holidays from work are limited. If I come to every event, then I will not have any leave left for a trip with my family. I work for a construction company and get only 14 days a year leave. I want to come and see my girl at the school events but I don’t have the leave. My girl feels sad to see other parents there but not us.
I really ask the school to not invite the parents to all these events. Otherwise you have the same parents there and for other working parents it is difficult. If there is a major event like a celebration or workshop, please consider to have it at the weekends. The last few times, Chinese new year, international day, my girl has come home crying because we weren’t there and her friends parents were there.

There is a camp at school and parents have been invited to come to see the ending. Again I have to work. It’s only May and there has been CNY, international day, workshop, parents teacher meeting 30 May, Camp event.

Please consider us working parents.
