Hi candy02sweet, can you pm me more details? Thanks!

Vedic maths use an unorthodox way of teaching. Not recommended.

Just look at this tutorial. 7 x 8 = 56 has now become so complicated. It may end up confusing the child. Unless you are absolutely sure your child wont get confused, better dont sign up. -
Hi all,
thanks for the responses!
I did think about the part of being confused too, but I guess the main difference is that this is an Enrichment Centre rather than a typical "we will drill your kid with 1000 past papers".
I think my child will develop the love for the subject rather than us as parents drilling and drilling them to do well just because we want them to do well…
I have a strong believe that my child should not have a so-called math-phobia… cos once u hate the subject, they will never want to practise unless we force them to, and i think full potential can never be reached when children are forced…
I grew up thinking that math is boring, but if this mathmonkey can change that perception, i’m willing to give it a try.
I guess this is a personal opinion and we all have different views
appreciate the response and it’ll be glad if more of you expert parents could share your thoughts with me!!

How much is the charges?
their standard charges is at $450 / 12weeks but now they had opening promotion of $360/12weeks so about $120/month. quite reasonable for the small class size... personally.
Cheers,

Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word-formulae. For example, 'Vertically and Crosswise` is one of these Sutras. These formulae describe the way the mind naturally works and are therefore a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution. -
Seem like quite a powerful program.Wonder should let my DS try the class.
