hi, you r too late to join SHHK for this 2014 intake. u hv to join at least 2 years prior to P1 registration.

I m still considering whether to join or not to join. i m preparing for my girl's registration in 2016. :scratchhead:

If you are living with 2km of one SHHK school, then it could be a worthwhile investment of time and effort (assuming you do like to participate in their activities). At the very least, it gives you a chance in an earlier phase and you have more options to consider.

However, if you are not staying within 2km of one SHHK school, it may be meaningless considering that you will most probably be subjected to ballot for the limited seats (or no chance at all).

You have to go to SHHK website download the form to join. Go to website and you will know the details.

SHHK should be more transparent about their volunteer scheme. Remark like this is truly shocking :scared:
\"The more hours you accumulate, the higher the chance of obtaining a recommendation from SHHK.\"

Even when I joined SHHK many years ago, the 2 criterias for getting the recommendation letter were 1. Length of memberships,2. No of Volunteers hours. As the vacancy was limited, they would have to give priority to some.

Another better route might be Grassroot leader.

Joining SHHK wouldn't guarantee getting the recommendation letter.


My friend joined SHHK but didn't clock in volunteer hours. In the end, she can't get the recommendation letter which upset her.
