Raffles Girls' Primary

There’s a big difference between attending a School Fair and each school’s individual Open House. With the Open Houses held at the secondary schools, you’ll get a good feel of the ambience, the culture, the activities and facilities at the school. There’ll be talks by the principal, heads of depts, presentations and booths by the various CCAs and subject depts… You’ll be able to feel the vibe of the school itself, rather than thru interactions with a few representatives at booths in the primary school.

I feel that school visit is like going for test drive. Most of the time one has already decided on which car among a handful of the same class and to test drive is just to convince oneself his choice is right. That’s why we see many opting not to take up CO when it’s not from their preferred choice. So school visit is not quite necessary…but can go and ask about dsa process.

My take on this is quite different. We had actually set our eyes on a certain school (along with 2 others), read up about it, even gone to a fair where they had a booth and were happy with the school. Then we attended the Open House and changed our minds completely. That's why I feel going to Open Houses are impt. My take anyway. -

Did NUS High also send representatives down to our school, last Saturday ?
this is for RGPS students only.
School has beefed up security as they will permit families with their children in uniform to enter.

Another 80 come from the HA E/F classes. So left with 10 from the mainstream of the mainstream.2013 PSLE
Total number of students sat for 2013 PSLE = 344
48.1 % (born 2001, year of Snake) : scored 250 and above
= 344 * 0.481
=> 165 RGPS girls : scored 250 and above
now, there are 3 GEP classes (P, Q, R)
assuming that all these 75 GEP pupils (25 x 3 : each GEP class has 25 pupils) scored 250 and above -
(since GEP students are expected to perform much better than Mainstream, as GEP curriculum is highly enriched.
normally, school expect GEP students to score ... minimum 260 )
take 165 - 75 = 90
means: around 90 Mainstream pupils scored 250 and above.
90 pupils (from Mainstream) is ... a lot !
source of info (48.1 %) :-
