For Visual Arts, does it helps if the student has a very strong foundation in drawing and painting if he/she enters the school at Y5?

Strong foundation? At Yr5 it shouldn't be just strong foundation, it should be his/her major.
What about theory? What are her work credentials? Gallery show cases? Any awards? Good chance if all these are present. But please, don't let me scare you, pls go ahead and try. You'll never know, you might be the lucky one.

I would urge all who wants to come to SOTA, join them immediately after PSLE, that's the best time. Latest by Sec 3.

Yes, agree that it's best to join after PSLE but not my child to decide. The parents want the child to have O levels first.

Just curious, are there SOTA first-year students who quit SOTA and leave for mainstream schools shortly after school started? If they do, what is the process of going to mainstream school? Approach individual school principals?

                Thanks!
