        hi buds and carolsoh!

happy new yr to both of you!!

well i visited the JE branch and were quite impressed with the explaination (curriculum included swimming, speech and drama etc) but i find that the centre space is pretty small…

the vp told me that cck is quite a new branch and that monthly fees is the same however no swimming lessons included. so i was like thinking why so ex then? cuz i checked the other areas like west coast and east coast where most expats place their child is only like $400 per mth. when i emailed and ask why the huge difference in price, its because it doesnt include enrichment classes in.

          hi carol

          good morning 🙂

i am staying at jurong west so i have the options to put at JE or CCK. I've yet to visit the CCK branch, probably one of these days. i will have to call the bus operator to see how much they charge from jurong west to cck. the one in JE charged at $140. my son is 3yr old, me and hubby planned to change cc for him as the current one eventhough cheap, didnt really satisfy me. but when i am scouting arnd that time, most school long waiting list so after much discussion we'll only put his name for 2011. but then steep fee doesnt necessarily means good school too isnt it? so it wud really help a lot if i got feedback from parents. 🙂

btw how old is yours? and how long have you place him/her at CCK?? academically is it good?

                hi everyone,

i have paid a visit to the JE branch yesterday and was quite impressed with the curriculum. They are also practising the Glenn Doman’s Method in their teaching.

I wasn’t able to take a good look at the centre as it’s during the nap time.

Can anyone give me any feedback with regards to this centre?

                Thanks.

Plan to sent my kids to Mulberry@ Acer. The school fees is already high and today when I ask on the transportation, they are charging me at $140/mth… very expensive… any other source of recommendation i can get from mummys… or this is the market rate??

Normally transport is provided by third party so it’s not really up to the school. How many km away do you stay from the school?

Transportation for preschool nowadays is very ex. I have checked with a few schools and no one offers less than $140/month.

                      Hi,

Juz wanna share my visit to Mulberry @ Acer…

Overall the centre is very nice and bright. Very colourful too.
Spoke to the Principal and she was friendly and well-informed on the curriculum and even showed a summary of the lesson plans with corresponding worksheets.

They have a variety of enrichment classes (all incl. in the fees) namely:-

Theatrical Play aka Speech and Drama
                      Multimedia
Dance i.e. Street Dance, Jazz - changes every term
                      Science Alive
                      Creative Art

Two from the above are from external vendors who are practioners in their respective field of teaching.

The centre also visits the library once a month - optional $5 extra if opt in

What I like personally like abt the centre is that they have project works integrated in their curriculum where children are the decision makers with guidance from the teacher as well. Hence, lots of outdoor activity so as to collate data or info to support the subject of discussion. I feel that this project approach really taps on the children thinking skills and CREATIVITY!!! And, encourages them in thinking out of the box.

                        Hi dadelina,

Thanks for sharing. Actually my son’s teacher also asked me whether I want to consider transferring him to Acer. I guessed new center gets more attention and investment than the old ones.
So did you put your child in Mulberry?
