Hi IJJ,
I believe it should be 1st March.
Just curious, how old are your gals ? CA1 next week, how fast time flies followed by parent-teacher meeting b4 the 1 week March holiday. -
Thanks, Janet!

My eldest is in P3 and the other 2 are just waiting for their turns.
Ya...CA1 next week and the unit upstairs started renovation ytd.
My poor child could not do her work until evening. Did till 10 pm last night.
Does your child's teachers give more work this week to prepare for CA next week? Mine do. -

Good news is the CL teacher has finished up to unit 5, so no tingxie/moxie for the time being. -
IJJ/Jennifer,
This week’s homework is mainly mock CA1 papers. No tingxie/mo xie as well as spelling/dictation, so weekends are spent revising. Son’s teacher piled on lots of homework earlier to complete the chapters. In a way, it’s a relief that I can revise his subjects with him this week. -

For my dd, it's still quite the same. No more, no less. Dd will complete most work at school so hw was brought back to check before handing up on the next day. Chinese Teacher has already completed up to unit 7 although to be tested to unit 5. Maybe P2 is different, syllabus is still not so difficult, still copable for kids and teachers.IJJ/Jennifer,

E3,
For P4, CL will be tested from Chap 1-4, EL 3 chapters, Maths/Science 3 chapters. For Science, they will be tested on Diversity/Systems from last year and Cycles. Although there are lesser chapters, there are more sections to be tested now - 造句 is included for CL. Punctuation/Editing/Synthesis are thrown in for CA as well. In short, it feels like preparing for SA1.

Look on the bright side. By the time your ds sits for SA1, he will have enough 'training'. I have a feeling that is PH's strategy.E3,

E3,
It looks like the Chinese teacher will be rushing after the 1 week holiday to finish up the rest of the book (7 chapters) for SA1. Dare not imagine the load of homework then  on top of 作文.
Will encourage my kids to read as much as possible after CA1...will get hubby to bring them to the Reading room at nearby CC to borrow books.
