Because in school, we can log into computers in the library and go to whatever site except Facebook and Youtube.

During the open house, the principal mentioned ACS offers computer games to its students. Is it really true?

Actually, yes. It is. They sell games at the CyberAC (no idea what or where it is)

Hi Jennifer, understand ur ds got a dsa offer last year from ACS(I). Kind to share if he is from GEP, ACS primary/Junior? And whether you ds apply to sport or academic domain.

Heard ACS(I) simplily does not take in non-ACS primary pupils thru dsa, is that true. Kind to share ur experience? TIA.

My boy is from Pei Hwa, applied via academic results.

I can vouch ACS(I) takes in non-ACS primary pupils thru dsa. The day we met with the principal to collect the confirmed offer letter, there were at least 20 to 30 non-ACS primary pupils.

I would strongly advise to attend the open house in which the DSA forms will be issued (at a price) cum registering for the HAST and also a short writeout of the school's curriculum. Using this writeout, my boy wrote his personal statement.

His P5 to P6 academic results were ok (in the region of 83% to 85%). Either he did well in the HAST or the personal statement made a good impression or it could be a combination of both or cum his school results, we really do not know. Or the other candidates performed equally good. There were about 450-500 candidates taking the HAST on the same day as my boy (I know becos the names were put up on the boards to let the children know which classrooms to go to). There were two days to take the HAST.

My boy also participated in the 2008 ACS organised Maths Olympaid and obtained a Silver award.

Thanks Jennifer, was he good in any sport, performance art, ... It seems that HAST is the key ? Did he have to attend any interview?
