LOL, HPPS is elite school meh ?
None of my other colleagues send their kids to elite schools, yet they have PTMs every term... -

Apparently to parents living in Jurong to Punggol, they seem hellbent on wanting to send their kids here...I was sucked into that belief too...now facing the reality...

Henry Park primary offer GEP programme to P4 to P6 students.
LOL, HPPS is elite school meh ?
Thus, it is considered an elite school.
Many children from other schools transfer into here, at P4.
Mainstream standard -
may have to check.
(separate out Mainstream students' results, from GEP students' results)
under Phase 2C -
Balloting occurred within 1 km, with very limited seats.
This year, look out for Phase 2A. -

Sad to say, to me the PSLE results still not comparable to the 'elite' schools that i know. I only know to depend on ourselves and not the school too much. However despite that, children still not excelling in school. At least they are having fun...

Even if there is no PMT at end of Term 2 Mid year tests / exam -

you can always give a call to your child's individual subject tr, plus Form tr, ask them in general overall, how is the behavior of your child in school, in class, plus the progress achieved in each subject, for Term 2 ?
This can be asked via phone, or write a email to see tr, say you would like to make appointment with tr, face to face.
(done on own initiative)
Eg : how is your child's learning attitude in class, like ?
Does he pay attention to what tr say ?
Or is he one ear in, one ear out ?
Does he follow instructions in class, or he only do those things that he like to do only ?
Those he dont like to do, then he won't follow tr instructions ?
Is he helpful towards his fellow classmates ?
If you have concern about something in your child, all the more you should do this, quietly.
from here, you can tell what are your child's strengths and areas of improvement needed, at end of Term 2 ?
You may also ask form tr -
Total combine all the marks for tests for all the subjects, roughly, where is your child, in comparison within his class, and within entire level cohort ?
If the school find that ey, how come so many parents come forward to ask questions about their child, the school know that many parents in this school are concerned over their children, then next time, the school may organize a PMT at end of mid year too.
But if all the parents keep quiet, never come forward to say anything, school think maybe the parents are all agreeable that it is ok not to have a PMT at end of Term 2, mid year. So this trend will continue. -
Holiday already, abit bored. So any P3 and above parents can share how the end of P2 streaming process is about ?
I recall the top 160 students (50%) will be slotted into the top 4 classes in P3. From your experience, how did your child fare in P2 and where is he now ? -
Hi all,
Recently the newspapers reported few days ago that a lot of TOP primary schools cancel and stop the parents volunteer scheme.
May I know any comments and feedback from the parents on this issue?
Could anybody share your thoughts how to increase the chance of getting into the Henry Park Primary?
Thanks lot!
Best

Any parents know how many Allied Educators (AED) :boogie: that catered to autistic kids in Henry Park Primary.
In addition, how well are the AED
coping with mild autistic kids?
Will be enrolling my girl in 2015.
Thanks. -
The reservation starts from Phase 1, this year 2014 July
(with 2008 born kids)
example:
MOE had shown that Total Available vacancies for Phase 1, at Henry Park primary, is 300
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#bukit-timah/
let’s refer -
last year (2013), HPPS primary intake
Total vacancies = 300
After reserve \"40 compulsory\" seats (set aside) -
reservation starts from Phase 1 : (300 - 40) = 260 vacancies, available
@ end of Phase 1 (sibling) : 164 Taken
@ end of Phase 2A1 (alumni) : 62 Taken
i)
260 – 164 = 96 (balance)
is balance 96 sufficient, for Phase 2A1 ?
Yes, because 62 out of 96.
do 2A1 (alumni) need to ballot ?
No need
ii)
260 - 164 - 62 = 34 (balance)
How many 2A2 actually registered ?
60
is balance 34 sufficient, to accomodate Phase 2A2 ?
Not enough
shortage of (60 – 34) = 26 seats
do 2A2 (ex-students) need to ballot ?
Yes
26 HPPS children from 2A2, would have been balloted out.
amongst the 26 kids -
all PR < 1 km : would need to give way to, SC children first.
