I think mine's the youngest, judging from what I have read .... he's 2 and a half


So I'll be probably be turning to you gals for tips on how to raise a 'wholistic' only child along the way

U are a guy right? Am surprised u feel this way. My husband can't care less................doesn't know whwat the fuss is about and he also thinks that its okay to have just one as he finds the cost of raising a child very high.

May I join this thread too? I'm also a mother of 1 child - my DS is in P3 this year.

I only had 1 child by choice - was in my mid-thirties when I had him, + a horde of other reasons which have been mention in the earlier threads as to why I didn't proceed to have number 2...

Would like to join in the support group too, if I may

I meant that they ignore the wistful looks and desire to join in. Suppose that they don't actualy ignore but just don't notice. Very unlike when you meet another only child and the kids hook up pretty quickly - probably because both are on the lookout for company. I find it rather sad to watch.

My daughter will be turning 10 this year. Looks like she is the oldest!

As to being selfish, she is definitely not. Overly eager to share just to get others to play with her - same as .. hmmm. can't remember who mentioned that!

Actually, for those of you below 40 and have not decided to stop at one, it'
s not too late. Encourage you to continue trying (if you have the energy!). The risks multiply once you hit 40.
