Anyone has a tried and tested creamy cheese recipe to share? The type similar to what KFC puts on top of their cheesy fries?

      Thanks in advance.

I love fries with creamy cheese and although I am sure it is nothing compared to KFC I will tell you how I do it 🙂 First of all I make my fries \"out of scratch\". Peel potatoes and slice them into nice \"sticks\", pour cooking oil into a bot and make it boil, then I drop in part of the potatoes and wait till they're brownish, take out, put another batch and so on and so forth. If you like lots of cheese, it's a good idea to put itsy bitsy of grated cheese on still hot fries and make it melt. But let's move forward! 🙂 In a separate pot I put: piece of soft, creamy cheese, small bits of yellow cheese (whatever brand really) and (if you like!) a piece of camembert. Heat it till the point it starts melting, stir slowly. When it's all connected but you find it too thick, you may add some sweet cream. Voila! I usually take big plate of my fries, pour cheesy sauce into a bowl and ENJOY! 🙂

if you are looking for nacho-ly type of cheese to put on fries, TungSan sells (http://www.tungsanfood.com).

This is a sauce/condiment distributor to many SG hawker stalls (and their nasi lemak chilli is a hot fav with my overseas friend). I not staff, just a fan of their products.

Only 2 retail outlets (AMK and Bedok North) and they keep office hours (sianz). Else, I would suspect Mustafa stocks (somewhere).

Thanks, hquek. I looked at the link you provided but could not find any cheese related sauce on their website .... unless I missed it! :?

Mustafa is hopeless where this cheese sauce is concerned. Checked, but did not find anything close to cheese sauce.

Try cold storage. They do sell small little tubs of nacho cheese. I think those are the type of cheese that KFC uses.

I have tried the small tubs of California Creamery Nacho Cheese Sauce that is pictured in the link below. Similar to what the blogger mentioned, I find that it has a spicy taste unlike KFC's or those at cinemas.

Dont ever ever buy prepacked sauces.

Full of chemicals, preservatives and MSG.

Cheese sauce is just white sauce with added cheddar cheese.

                      1) Melt butter in pan. Add in equal amount of plain flour to form a roux.
                      2) add in milk and stir vigourously to form the white sauce.
                      3) add in cheddar sauce(adjust amount to your likings)
                      season with salt.

                      THATS IT!
