      Dear mamemo,

Go ahead and enrol your DD , she shouldn’t have any problem coping with p1 works. I think the work load just like any others pri sch.

Yes , school release at 1.50pm . Besides recess time, children are allow to have a quick snack at 12noon in class. Just pack something light to eat in class will fine. In the morning, you can pack breakfast for her to eat in car/ school bus.

I am keen to send my girl to st nick.

I am SINGAPORE citizen, staying 1 km from the school.

What is my chance of getting in?

For 2013 balloting, what is the ratio?

            past year 2013 balloting:-
            Phase 2B
            Balloting for distance within 1km

            33 balloted for 13 vacancies

            ratio :-
every 3 kids balloted for 1 vacancy

            Phase 2C
            Balloting for distance within 1km

            37 balloted for 12 vacancies

            ratio :-
every 3 kids balloted for 1 vacancy

              mameo,

The school actually does remedial lessons for the weaker students right from the start, so there is actually no need to worry about the academic pace for p1.

Also, the teachers also encourage peer support, where the weaker students get help from their peers in class.

                Hi!

I am keen to send my daughter to SNGS, but I am concerned about the distance as I stay in the south. My daughter is likely to be taking the school bus.

I hope to get some feedback from parents staying in the south on how long it takes for their child to travel to school with school bus detours, and whether the traveling tires the child and affects her learning.

                Thank you!

                  Hi bridgextra,

I stay in West. Have been commuting since my gal started P1. Gals in P3 & P4 now. It is not too bad - 20-25 min drive. Gals wake up at 6.05am, leave house by 6.35am, reach sch between 6.55 - 7.05am.

                    Hi!

Can I check with SNG P5 parents - does the sch conduct supplementary lessons for our P5 gals during normal sch terms and 1st week of sch holiday to make sure they finish the syllabus by end of P5?
