      jedamum:

it started 2 days back, my ds1 keep blinking his eyes. he said it is irritation, so can i use eyedrop on him? not sure if it is irritation or case of bad habit.

I heard tat this eye blinking problem can b solved thru tcm. Maybe u can bring ur child to a Chinese physician.

      CJS,
any chinese physician recommendations? preferably in the west.
      TIA.

      CKS,
how long did your boy had this before it went away? TIA.

        hie everyone

i just send my son to the Student Health Centre at HPB Refraction Clinic today and he was diagnosed with myopia of 100 and 125 degree.

When I went in there they dont use the heavy equipment that I usually use at my optometrist to check my eye sight. Use the simple machine where we placed our chin and the normal reading out of the letters.

        Are these readings accurate ?

Has anyone’s children been referred there and given a spectacles prescription from them ?

Thank u so much for sharing

DS1 tend to do this also. Once at GP (family one), DH asked Doctor what could be done. Doctor immediately reply, \"oh, then have to take out the whole eyeball\".

At that, DS1 looked with eyes big big....not daring to blink. 😉

                    hi jedamum/pink_daisy,

when my girl was around 6-7, she developed this habit of winking 1 or both eyes, which I thot was motor tics too. We monitored, didnt kick a fuss, and after a few weeks it disappeared only to reappear the following year.

After 2 years, we figured out the tics came about when during the yearend holidays when she watched loads of cartoons. And once school started, they disappeared as she cut down on tv. So perhaps, your kids are watching too much tv?

yes. i recalled back and realised that it all began when i introduced a daily computer game slot for him.
had barred him from using computer already and together with ds2, both are on tv-diet.
                      hope it'll work.

Then you should tell your kid that it's because grandma probably won't be around long enough to see that happen :siam:
