2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

Which are the schools that reduce intake this year, besides Horizon primary ?

Breez:
Single session means all levels from P1 to P6 start school, morning session.Hi, may I know typically single session means all morning session?
Why would single session be gd?
Most parents prefer morning session.
For those of us whose kids study afternoon session, we find that time is \"chopped off\", neither here nor there.
By the time school end daily 6.30 pm, kids reach home around 7.15 pm bathe & eat dinner, the night is very short; very little time left, before bed time come.
Often, parents find it hard to arrange tuition on weekday, since kids had already spent 6 long hours in school afternoon session.
Mentally, kids are tired after school end 6.30 pm.
Thus, lead to cramp most of the enrichment / tuition lessons to the weekend, making Sat / Sun stressful.
Study morning session is better, because after school end around 1.30 pm, for the rest of the day : kid got more time to do things like take a nap, etc.
2015 -
Only 32 primary schools are left behind : study afternoon session.
155 schools study morning session.
Total = 32 + 155 = 187 schools
remaining 32 schools target to start single session : 2016.
Hopefully, all 32 schools can make it, in time.
If can make it : means 2015 will be the last year in history that the last 32 schools study afternoon session.
Then come 2016 (born 2009) : all P1 can study morning session

Thank you very much for your detailed reply. The school I am looking at will be single session. I was expecting it to be afternoon…

Personally I prefer pm session for my DS going to P1 next year. My DD will be in morning kindy so that gives me 1-1 time with my DS when she’s in school. Otherwise he’s easily distracted when DD is around. However, I do worry that he can’t concentrate in the afternoon in school cos it’s so hot ! And the evenings after school does seem rather "short", not sure if anything can be done.

I made that separate sessions arrangement even in preschool. Until their session finally converge in p3 and p5. Then I realized I have so much ME time when both in same session

p1 and p2 alright to be in afternoon session. School workload is not that intensive anyway. Can sleep in a little, have leisure breakfast then start doing homework, rest, eat lunch then get ready for school. Most parents prefer morning session.
Evening can be for non academic stuff eg. practising piano or reading -

Yes, I think evenings will be reserved for non academic stuff. Whole family at home and DS is the only one doing hw, think he'll 心里不平衡 . Lol

Hi,
I am aiming for Maris Stella and staying within 1km. Am I correct to say that intake has been reduced from 300 to 270 this year??? Looks like for the 1st time, MSHS will ballot within 1km.
Read from previous posts that full school will allow ex-secondary schoolers to register under 2A? Which year did this come into effect?
