is P6 Sup class compulsory, for all P6 students ?
if No, how does the school select who to attend ?
or is it on voluntary basis ?
ie. Pupils who raise up their hands to express interest in attending, can attend ?
Sup class apply to all 4 subjects (eng, maths, science, Chinese, Higher Chinese), or only for selective subjects ?
P6 Sup class apply to Mainstream only, or include GEP as well ? -
for everyone in P6 and for all subjects, don’t think is compulsory but good if can attend… not to worry, all these info will be provided to parents when their dd in P6… one thing to note is for those taking sch bus have to arrange their own transport for these 3 days …

Hi, understand rgps offers higher chinese, is it default primary one students (mainly chinese race) take higher chinese for a start, and then subsequently have an option to drop? Or they start with chinese, then subsequently some students get selected to take higher chinese?

Yes, by default from P1 Term 1 (January) kick start : Higher Chinese (HCL)Hi, understand rgps offers higher chinese, is it default primary one students (mainly chinese race) take higher chinese for a start, and then subsequently have an option to drop?

every P1 child start off on an equal footing, fairly.
every child be given a chance : to learn HCL
If you look at P1 Chinese work taught in class, during regular Term time -
our school standard taught is slightly higher, than average neighborhood schools.
Most P2 continue with HCL
(very few don't do HCL)
@ end of P3 Term 4 : if can maintain Chinese > = 85 consistently all the way, continue with HCL.
the higher you go : HCL get more challenging
some struggle : can switch back to normal Chinese -
Noted thanks!
