Here’s come my report…
Its easy to find the place. Take bus 238 fm the intchg, alight at the 7th busstop and cross the road…

I didnt buy the jolly guidebook as it was too chimp for me. I dun even kw how & where to start… It cost abt $80 plus now… For those who are interested to buy.

After some discussion with the very helpful assistant, sorry i forgot to ask for her name… i bought the jolly DVd instead, which cost $74.90. I find the jolly jingle cd uselful as well as it comes with a book. However, my girls may not pay attention to music except in car ride…I also bought some story books, spend abt $100.

I tried to play the disc yesterday night but my girls dun seemed to be very keen, kind of disappointed. Tried aagin this morning and it seemed to catch a little of their attention. Guess i have to
keep playing, for them to pick up the sound…jia yu jia yu !!!

I have used only Rigby Literacy and have laid my hands on Rigby Star
Phonics as well. Both equally great in their own context and objectives.

My son's childcare is using the Rigby Star Phonics. I tried to reinforce his learning at home when the books are being returned but got very confused. Not sure where and how to start.

Would like to 请教 the Bud's way of teaching :?:

ds2's sch is using http://www.edventurebooks.com/sunshine/lettergetter/index.html; what genre of phonics is that?
i like the cd that comes with the reader cos i can easily reinforce at home and ds2 loves it; ds2 is able to read from memory and help of pictures (of the book); he picked up mostly high frequency words.

do most other phonics reader comes with cd??

I'm no expert but guessing this is the Sunshine series.

I think most readers will help kids pick up the high frequency words. Some come with CD-ROMs, some don't.

I'm using Rigby Literacy, and DS1 can \"read\" all the books in Emergent 1 and 2. That's 22 books, and I say \"read' because I'm not sure if he can recognise the words or just reading from memory.
