Dear Okea,Hi,
Understand there will be an MTL outing for the students on Tues. Hence the art class will not start on that day so can i know when will the art class be starting? I did not receive any notification on the art class after payment is made so am not sure whether my boy has gotten a place in the art class?
Art Enrichment lessons will commence on 8 July 2014. The schedule for all Art Enrichment lessons in Term 3 was included in the enrichment letter issued out to parents dated 12 May 2014.
I would greatly appreciate if you could call me, Mdm Noor at 6314 4192 to provide your child's name for confirmation.

Dear Pixelbee,
The cultural performance day and time have been fixed by the theatre group. As such, parents will have to make a choice between having their child attend the cultural performance, OR attend the problem-solving workshop.
We look forward to your continued support in working in partnership with the school.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Hi,
Just realised that the vice principal is no longer with WSPS? Gotten feedback from parent that she is kinda of worry on the turnover rate as the sch had just started n VP has changed.
For us parents, we too, are also wondering will this also affect other teachers? -
Dear Okea,
We understand that parents may be concerned when they hear of changes in the school leadership. Rest assured that the new VP, Ms Sabariah, had been posted to West Spring Primary as she has a wealth of experience gained in curriculum matters whilst working at MOE HQ. This augurs well for our school as her experience will help bring our PLAY curriculum to an even higher level of excellence. In fact, since joining the school last month, Ms Sabariah had already been working on our PLAY curriculum, together with our team of teachers.
Our teachers have also been attending regular workshops as well on PLAY. Just yesterday, we introduced Story-Telling by our Parent Volunteers during morning pre-assembly. Our West Springers were enthralled and captivated during the session.
We’ll continue to strive to provide the best holistic education possible for your children and look forward to working in partnership with our parents on this matter.

Are there new teachers on board? Instead, I heard there is teacher leaving WSPS.
Hopefully a better solution can be sought to affected students. Having a relief teacher or joining other class due to lack of teacher may not be a long term solution. -

Schools regularly receive new education officers joining the school in the middle and at the end-of-the year upon graduation from the Nanyang Technological University / National Institute of Education, or education officers returning from overseas study leave. At the same time, once in a while, an education officer may also need to take some time off to attend to unforeseen / urgent personal matters, or to further his / her studies as part of his / her professional development. Hence, the staff movement, if any, in any school in Singapore.
As an example, we recruited our Allied Educator (Learning & Behavioural Support) last year, but it’s only now that she has been able to join us as she’d commitments in her previous school to fulfil. We’re also on the constant lookout for good experienced teachers and have just welcomed another 2 highly experienced Flexi-Adjunct Teachers to support our school’s learning programmes. When new staff join the school, it’s normal for us to then deploy these new officers in the best way possible to better engage our West Springers in their learning. So there may be some deployment adjustments made in the process.
