I think the 40 reserved would be added back in respective Phase of 2B & 2C. We would see how the mechanism to be work this time round.
not add back : because Total number of vacancies in each school, are fixed.
Right at the onset :
40 seats had been reserved, for combined two Phases (2B + 2C), before even starting Phase 1.
This means that 2B will get 20 seats (minimum), and 2C get another 20 seats (minimum).
20 seats each are untouchable : by Phase 2A.
This new rule kicks in -
only if After 2A2, Balance for remaining Phases = 0
Then, this \"40 seats\" safety net kicks in, to ensure that a fair number of 20 seats each, are allocated to 2B and 2C.
but if After 2A2 : there is a lot of leftover balance, then you won't see the impact of this new rule. -
So how does the balloting process goes? Results of Phase 2C will be out on 6 Aug so does it means we will need to report to school on that day for the ballot? My hubby travels a lot thus would be good to know how the process goes to plan ahead.

Radin Mas in Phase 1 already 132 being registered. Look like this year balloting to surface in Phase 2B & 2C respectively. :nailbite:

I was expecting balloting but not to this extend where more than half places are already taken in the first phase!!! :yikes: :yikes: -

Titank,
RMPS had balloting for P2B two years ago. As for P2C, it has been balloting for those staying less than 1 km from the school since the time you registered for your son.

Very over whelming response this year (in fact, more overwhelming than I can remember). So, assuming no massive withdrawals during other phases and that P2A2 has the same number of applicants as last year, there will not be many places left for P2B and P2C.
So, parents who intend to register with RMPS, please have a backup plan ready. -

For those that are not successful in Phase 2B balloting, then which Phase do they next register?Phase 2C or 2CS?zp1503:

RMPS is really hot this year.i am in P2A2,it is left with 66 place only. I am feeling the heat too.Has there been cases of balloting in P2A2?
Judging by last year P1 take up 105 to TY 134 ,it increased by 27.6%, if the same rate goes, LY P2A2 53 application increase by 27.6% it will be 67 to 68 applications. :yikes: -

So, now, it depends on the distance category your child is in. I think it should be safe for those staying within 2 km from the school.RMPS is really hot this year.i am in P2A2,it is left with 66 place only. I am feeling the heat too.Has there been cases of balloting in P2A2?
