Any idea what is the probability of having to ballot in phase 2A1 for cat high given the numbers for phase 1?

balance of 126 seats for Catholic High primary -
is a lot for 2A1, even for a Full school.
(assuming today Day 2 Phase 1 remain unchanged at 74)

not to worry.
2A1 is safe, for Catholic High (based on 74 Phase 1 children enrolled)
no need to ballot

based on figures released @end of Phase 1, Day 1 -
unlikely this year witness any school balloting under 2A1

Which school you eyeing at ?
Instead of worrying if figure may change, can call up the school direct, ask the Officer in charge of registrn whether they still doing data entry work today, or is last night figure the final figure ?

Today last day of Phase 1 : not many parents walking into school compound, most schools quiet.

Next Tues a lot of parents start walking into school, busy.

Fairfield Methodist is not a Full school.

Those didn't study before in Fairfield primary, but were ex students from Fairfield Secondary -
cannot enrol as old boys or old girls, under Phase 2A1 nor 2A2.
Only if they were ex students from the primary school before, then Yes, they are eligible for Phase 2A.

Unlikely for Fairfield to ballot, under 2A.

depend on the \"leftover\" seats at end of 2A for P2B + 2C.
If not many left -
it is likely that Phase 2B continue to ballot, like last year.
Because Fairfield is a good school, parents who are Methodists would like their child to study here.
Fairfield is a good mission school.
But ballot under which distance range : unsure, at this point in time.

Just called Fairfield Methodist primary, one hour ago.

P1 registration officer confirmed that Fairfield is not a Full school.
She confirmed over phone that those ex secondary students who never studied before in Fairfield primary -
Cannot join primary school, no matter how keen or eager they desire.

So balance of 104 seats is sufficient, for P2A.
Not to worry, Rata.
You should be able to get in, under 2A.

But had it been for a Full school like CHIJ St Nicholas,
this may pose a concern.
