Has anyone genuinely lost their kid in a crowd before?

two years ago, we were board the airport express bus from the hotel we were staying in Japan to go the airport for our flight home. Just before the bus moves out, i realized that my son was not seated among us. I shouted for the bus to stop and we ran from the bus back to the hotel to look for him. even the hotel staff helped us looked for him It was a busy night at the hotel as there was a seminar at the hotel and someone is holding a wedding reception too. In the end, we found him hiding behind the grand piano. He was playing hide and seek with us… I’ve never felt so helpless and scared. My parents’ faces changed color too…

I heard some unconfirmed horror stories that in some countries very very cruel people will hack off the limbs of captured kids to force them to beg on the streets. It is the thought of these types of unknown that will eat me from the inside out. Really hoping that this is just be some kind of housewives' tale and it's not true.

unfortunately, what you heard is kinda true... there are some syndicates exploiting kids like that.

I have seen these broken limbs ppl quite rampant in Shenzhen n it is not possible that so many hv the same condition. Also the movie \"slumdog millionaire\" showed that too.

My kid saw the Shenzhen ppl too n I took the opportunity to explain to her she ought to be careful too.

Oh dear that must be a really terrible experience for you.

My boy also got lost before when he was about 2 years old. And it was not in any crowded places, it happened just outside our flat !

My hubby brought my girl and my boy out, while waiting for the lift, he had to attend to my girl. The lift door opened and my boy ran inside, then the door closed and the lift went down with my boy alone. My hubby immediately took the next lift down, but when he reached the ground floor, my boy was missing !

After frantically searching for about 15 mins, he found my boy with a woman. It turned out that the woman was bringing her own grandson to kindergarten, saw my boy alone, then she brought both my boy and her grandson to kindergarten ! She probably wanted to help my boy look for his family, but bringing her grandson to school was more important. My boy was very calm at that time, he was too young to understand that he was lost.

The best part was, I was working that day, and I did not know about the incident until I returned home in the evening ! My hubby knew that I would probably have fainted in the office if he called me before my boy was found.

After that we learned our lesson. We have to be careful at all times, does not matter whether the place is crowded or not.

My colleague brought his brother's son to Japan (but his brother did not go to Japan). He promised his brother he will look after his boy.


Then he lost the boy for 90 mins !! Found by sheer coincidence in a police station !!

My friend said he really \"lau jio\" and shit on his pants !!

90 mins? I'd have gone bonkers by then.

Confession - I lost my 3 yr old son in Paris for a good 15 minutes. Gosh, time was like it had been frozen. Fortunately, I spotted him with a nice foreign couple. They were on the way to Information Counter. Nearly drove me mad. Strangely, I didn't have the heart to scold him. Just kept telling him how worried he had made mommy. That night, I told him horror stories about how little kids were kidnapped and their limbs were hacked off and made to beg on the streets. Think that was more effective than any punishment for my son. My, it was really a scary experience.

It was my girl who told me about the incident. My hubby did not dare to tell me himself. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

My maid said she was so scared and worried, she was trembling and could not move.
