My friend told me the teacher will select 2 girls who excel well in the subject and have higher abilities from the class. The other subject teachers will also identify such girls when there are special Chinese/English workshops. Yes, such opportunities happen in P2.
can share how the school pick or select girls, to attend Mr Tan's Maths enrichment programme ?justmummy90:
Mr Tan is also teaching some of the selected girls from P2 classes this year.
The girls have to attend his enrichment once a week in the morning.
this programme just started from this year, with P2 ?

Just curious though why was there a drop in application.
I fall in Phase 2C and don't mind register if still got vacant by the time i'm due. Do they consider the distance as well?
http://www.rafflesgirlspri.moe.edu.sg/e ... statistics
@end of Phase 1 Day 1 : 34 registered
34 is very low : only around one third of last year (2013) 97
If 34 remains unchanged @end of Day 2 Phase 1 (today) -
a lot of leftover will spill into Phase 2B + 2C -
i am slightly outside 2km… wonder if balloting applies to within 1km for phase 2C…

compared to last year (2013) Phase 1 sibling at 97 vs. this year only 69 enrolled, there is a difference of (97 - 69) = 28 lesser siblings enrolled

28 extra seats \"leftover\" from Phase 1, is a lot.
enough to form one P1 class already (30 kids)
2A1 : normally below 40 alumni, per batch, for past few years.
However, since MOE announced \"40 compulsory seats\" for combined Phases (2B + 2C), more parents came forward to join 2A1.
2A2 : can't tell how many
2A2 scattered all over Sg : turn up only with report cards on actual Registration day, itself.
2B : this year 18 PV + some from Moulmein - Kallang GRC (normally below 10 from GRC)
2C : will have a lot of seats, left
This year most likely SC ballot : I think > 2 km.
If not, will be between 1 to 2 km.
2C SC < 1 km : safe -
phtthp… thanx.
any views on SCGS? i know this is the wrong forum to ask about that… -

hi phtthp,Dear parents with 2009 born daughters,
Today is 30 June 2014 : officially the last day to join Phase 2A1 alumni, to enrol in July 2015 next year, for 2016 P1 intake. (single session)
here is the alumni registration form
https://www.rgpsalumni.org.sg/memberRegistration.php
Our school look forward to active participation from more mommies, after you have joined.
Thank you.
:slapshead: I'm missed this official dateline for joining my alma mater. Would this seriously impact my chance of enrolling my K1 girl in 2015/next year P1 registration?? Being old girl in RGPS, I've always wanted to have my daughter to also enjoy the 6 wonderful years i had!! However my place of residential is >2km away (next to Choa Chu Kang MRT station). I'm now researching on the transportation arrangement to my area from RGPS. I certainly appreciate any parents' (active in this thread) advice who have their girls studying in RGPS & are staying around our vicinity. I hope my carelessness
in missing the above date, will not jeopardize my little girl's opportunity in her enrollment :xedfingers: . Thank you.

Hi parents,
Can you advise:
a) when will RGPS go single session? or will P1/2 remain in the afternoon?
b) which is the nearest after school care available for RGPS students?
c) Is it confirmed RGPS will move back to Hillcrest in 2016?
TIA!
