On a first come first serve basis?

If like that I don't mind to Q before the sun is out or maybe camp over night

It's not first come first served.
If there are not enough places, even Phase 2A(1) will need to ballot.
But not to worry, it has not happened before šŸ™‚

2A1 balloting never occur in history, before.

but from next year onwards (2009 born) -
        may arise.

This year, possible to see balloting in 2A2 at Henry Park or maybe perhaps Radin Mas
but not balloting in 2A1 this year.

what do you think are the chances of taonan for phase 2A2 this year ?

          Past 3 years -
Tao Nan never exceed beyond 100, for P2A.

          http://www.taonan.moe.edu.sg/parents/p1_2014.html

What is the latest balance, left now ?
          143
quite a big buffer, don't worry

thanks ! at least there's a little assurance for us...

            Piggicia:
My friend at Rosyth now says theres a Q and some parents were turned away coz they can't proof their Alumni status! :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

            a few months before 2A1 start -
parents have already been notified in advance with ample time, by the respective Alumni Association(s) in all primary schools - must respond to them, before a certain date line, if they are enrolling their children for Registration, this year.

Then, Alumni team will start to prepare & print out the letters, for 2A1 parents.

On actual day of 2A1 registration itself (that is, today) -
the Alumni person in charge will hand this important letter individually, to each parent, when parents arrive at the school premises.
Parents take this letter and submit together with other documents, to the P1 Registration officer. Officer will verify, on the spot.

The fact that got parents in Rosyth can't prove -
means that she did not respond to the Alumni association.
hence, the hiccup arise this morning.

without this letter of proof, printed out by Rosyth Alumni association -
she cannot enrol her child into the school.
            The school will forbid it.
Then, she got to wait patiently for the next Phase 2A2, to enrol her child in.

Even if she take out her Rosyth report card, at the very most can prove that she is under 2A2 (ex-student), but still, cannot enrol under 2A1 (alumni).
            This is the difference !

Only one day of registration this week ? Why so slow ?

are you asking : why so slow or why so short, only 1 day allocated ?
some of the 2A1 only turn up in the afternoon, after lunch, because morning they may still working in the office.
Some prefer to take half day leave, not one whole day leave

In the past, not many parents enrolled under 2A1.
because if they remain in 2A2, they could still enrol smoothly, no hiccup.
2A2 was like an automatic passport entry for them, in the past.
They take it for granted that sure to enter !

But after MOE announced 40 compulsory seats -
now, no more automatic. Gone !

parents begin to worry that if a school gets very hot, esp. if Phase 1 sibling itself has taken up a lot of seats -
2A2 may not stand any chance : if a lot of 2A2 decided to move up into 2A1
So nowadays, the trend has changed.
you begin to see more and more parents, enrolling into 2A1.

can ask them : when is P1 orientation this year ?
