Interesting - so a ballot is quite likely at 2A2 based on last few years (82 applicants is the last 4 years average, although last year was lower).
Looks like there will definitely be less than 50 places remaining for 2B and 2C, and the 40 reserved places might end up being the total.
Hats off to the traffic duty guys this morning, miserable conditions! -
Projected 2A1 was 75 during pri one talk, but actual registered 85. Wonder why sudden increase by 10? Couldnt be last minute people join alumni. Pri one talk was just a week before start of pri one registration and the talk was organised by alumni. Also alumni letters were issued on the spot during the pri one talk, surely the projected 2A1 figures most likely accurate right? As of now, more places taken up compared to last year .... less chances for phase 2c... haiz...

my frd 2a1 reg yday and told me on the spot they know they are in. so good how about u guys? this yr 2a1 more than last year. hopefully 2a2 will have little

@okie the \"projected\" 75 is from 2013's actual 2A1 figure. See here --> http://www.nyps.moe.edu.sg/admission/p1 ... index.html
can't really fault them because they are all doing these voluntarily, so i believe they actually \"projected\" last year's figures.
@Fabbie official results out on 10 July for all schools. but yes, yesterday for 2A1, once we registered our son, the person who helped us submit online told us our son secured his place already. i think the 2A1 green form is different from the rest, which had two check boxes for Official use:
(a) Your child has been successful in securing a place for Primary One my school. Please bring your child to school for orientation on (Date) at (Time)
(b) Your child has been unsuccessful in securing a Primary One place in my school. You may wish to register him / her in another school with vacancies at the next phase (Phase 2A(2) / 2B / 2C / 2C Supplementary) which he / she is eligible for.
we had (a) ticked, so yeah, on the spot know liao. -
in fact, let me share something with you here. back in Nov 2012, my wife and i were half-hearted in signing up for the alumni. but we still filled up the form and prepared the cheque, and attended one of their events.
when we were there, i was talking to one of the alumni organisers and i was like yaya-papaya telling her why do we have to sign up for alumni anyway, when based on past data, 2A2 sure get in one mah. then she hinted to me that recently one of the ministers visited the school and talked about some "changes" to the P1 registration. she was vague about these "changes" but told us it will be beneficial to join the alumni.
upon hearing that, we submitted the form and handed over the cheque, no more questions asked. now we all know what these "changes" are…
so we really have to thank the alumni organiser for talking to us, otherwise we will be sweating bullets next week. -

@dimsum
yeah, it was wrong of me to question the work of the alumni. i apologise to anyone here who is an alumni organiser. i will edit the comment.
they have put in a lot of good work so far. my wife is an alumni member, not me. she has been contributing her services while i look after the kids. -
Next time when there is a Pre P1 registration talk, perhaps just clarify with the presenter which year’s enrolment figures is she using, in her projection ?
Is it the current year forthcoming latest most up to date, confirmed alumni enrollment, or is it past years’ enrolment ?
This will clarify doubt. -
