May I have a quick question?

For P2C, am I right to say that Singapore Citizen and Singapore PR can apply.
if so, does it mean that if applicants is more than vacancies offered, SC is given priority according to <1km, 1-2km and outside 2Km before remaining vacancy given to PR according to distance like SC?

example 1
if vacancies is 20 and 26 applicants
15 are SC , 11 are PRs
All SC will be in before the 11 PRs...11PRs will enrol based on distance.

example 2
if vacancies is 20 and 26 applicants
24 are SC, 2PRs

6 SC<1km
4 SC within 1-2km
14 +2PRs >2km

in this case 10 SC(6+4) will be in according to distance and 14 SC>2km will ballot for the remain 10 seats. PRs have no chance to ballot.

Thanks for the clear explanation.
Any idea if there is any website that show the breakdown of each phrase like Nanhua Pri?
Nan Hua is the only school so far, that provide online update in the morning.
Other schools do not.

For Phase 2C balloting, how does it goes? Example there is 20 places for 60 people. And this 60 people consists of those from 15 Phase 2B & 10 less than 1km etc etc.

So procedure is:
1. 15 Phase 2B straight in
2. 5 out of 10 less than 1km will get in
etc etc?? :siao:
2C must wait for 2B to End first, check how many seats left from 2B, to carry forward into 2C, before 2C can start.

Without informing us how many vacancies are left at end of 2B, we can't answer your question.
Because 2B comes before 2C.
Must wait for 2B to end first, then talk about 2C.

If you not sure, can refer to some examples worked out here
Hi,

Need some advice and tips if possible.

I will be registering my son in Phase 2B to a school that our church is affiliated with (School A).
However, our 1st choice school is actually School B, which we can only register in Phase 2C.

I understand that we should register to School A first in Phase 2B to secure a seat. And then be on standby in Phase 2C. If it seems that we have a chance to get into School B (1st choice) then we need to withdraw the 2B registration at School A and quickly register to School B.

Question:
- Is my understanding above correct that we can withdraw the Phase 2B registration at School A and then quickly register to School B at Phase 2C?
- How much time is needed to withdraw the registration from one school and the re-register at another school?

If there is any link or tips that anyone can share, will be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

1) Yes you can do that.
2) Time to withdraw is a matter of minutes, depending on how busy the admin clerks are at the school. 2 hours should be a good gauge.

This register-withdraw-register strategy is best executed with one parent being stationed at both schools.

Remember, you take a big risk of not catching any birds at all if you wrongly estimate the demand in the target school.

Sorry but i need to ask further on this as it may be a possible scenario for hubby and me. So let's say we split up - one parent at registered school to withdraw. Does he need 2 ics to withdraw?

Upon withdrawing, other parent immediately take number at other school to queue up for registering. Do you need 2 ics to take queue number? Because other parent can't register until person comes with 2 ics right?

Sorry for being so specific but i don't want to take any chances. 🙂

Thanks in advance.
I asked the school that I registered my child at this same question and I was told both ICs are required when de-registering. Not photocopies. And we know both ICs are required when registering. So unless the schools are very near to each other, it will be a challenge to de-register at one school and register at another within minutes. My scenario is during P2A2, not sure if it applies to your scenario. Suggest a call to MOE or the schools to be sure. Good luck!

Hi, I'm trying for my son for NCP under phase 2c. If I register online, how would I be informed of when the balloting will be? Since the MOE website says result for phase 2c will be out on 6 Aug, does it mean balloting would be done before or after?

Thanks for the info... 🙂

Balloting is carried out on the results announcement date - 06 Aug. As for timing, please call the school to enquire.

Those who fail to get in at 2B (because they are balloted out) can join the 2C ballot where they \"start again\", they have no priority over any other 2C applicants (in the same distance category). Hope that helps.

Phase 2B registration, can one of the parents queue up to apply or must both parents go together to apply even though i can bring both parents’ IC?

One parent with 2 I/Cs can do the registration, including other documents such as birth cert, immunization record
