2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

qms:
If the school you have registered for at 2B is your only option, then basically you do nothing. It is either successfully or unsuccessful. No actions need to be taken.2snoopy:
Thanks for cherrygal and Jworld to explain. Can we call the school tomorrow before or after 4.30pm phase2B ends to check how many people registered for <1km, >1km<2km and >2km so as to know the chance?
What do you plan to do after knowing your chance? If you are thinking of taking any action, calling at 4.30 pm will be too late.
However, if you have already registered for a school successfully in the earlier phases, then you will have to monitor the statistics of the desired school. You can either have one parent at each school so that one can do the de-registration and the other to join the queue for registration.. or simply go with your gut feeling, give yourself a cut-off time.
Unless you are going thru the GRL or you already have place in earlier phase, there is really nothing you can do but hope for the best. -
haha... i am in the same situation as you. but we have not applied for the school at P2B... thought we can skip the hassle of withdrawing. but for sure have to go through balloting at P2C!
SIGHHHH... decisions decisions decisions!!!Lady Fifi:
Anyone can share what's the procedure to withdraw if I get a place in school A in P2B and decide that I want to go for school B in P2C?

absolutwild:
If you are unsuccessful in 2B balloting, there is no need to do withdrawal anyway. You will automatically go into phase 2C. So if you have only 1 choice for p2B, just register and pray for the best.haha... i am in the same situation as you. but we have not applied for the school at P2B... thought we can skip the hassle of withdrawing. but for sure have to go through balloting at P2C!

pretty sure will get in at P2B but it is not the preferred school… the preferred one will require balloting at P2C. we moved within 1km to the preferred school so thinking of giving it a shot!

I will stick to the school in P2B if there's a need to ballot in P2C. The upside (getting into the preferred school) is not better the downside (ending up in P2CS). You can seek a transfer though. While there's no guarantee in that route, there are less risks involved. -
Figures looking good at Poi Ching...keep it that way for today...hehe

Good luck everyone. Everything happen for a reason.

No one can share the withdrawal process?

to top what cherrygal has mentioned...
No, balloting is not like that. Let's say a school has 50 seats now. Then let's say there are 25 pple <1km, 30 pple 1-2km and 10 pple >2km.
The 25 <1km will not need to ballot.
-> 50 seats - 25 = 25 seats left.
The 30 pple within 1-2km must then ballot for the 25 seats left.
Before the end of this phase, the sch will notify the 10 pple who are >2km to withdraw their applications coz they can't get to ballot at all. They have to apply elsewhere. That's why distance is so important.
All SC will be admitted first before PRs...
So if 50 seats,
25 pple <1km, 30 pple 1-2km and 10 pple >2km.
25<1km (20 SC, 5 PRs)
30=1-2km(20 SC, 10PRs)
10>2km (5 SC, 5 PRs)
ALL SCs (20+20+5) will be admitted first irregardless of the distance
next 5PRs<1km will be admitted.
those PRs 1~2Km and >2km no chance to ballot at all as no balloting will be conducted. -
This morning at chij toa payoh (50spots) -
<1km - 27
1-2km - 21
<2km -10
