All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Hi my son is born in 2010. I’m considering doing pv at Rosyth but lives 1-2km (using mum’s address as she’s the care giver). Any idea of the chance of being pv if living at 1-2 km? Will it be lower than those living <1km? Thanks.

parents.. really need your help.
me looking at the RGPS PV application form
anyone has some sample proposals to see see?
really more diffcult than applying for job.
\"The proposal should describe the scope of the project, target audience (e.g. P1 – P2 / P5), resources needed (e.g. manpower, budget) and time-frame for implementation.\" wah.. :stupid: -

Applicants for more than 1km was told to withdraw their application yesterday during Day 1 of P2B at Rosyth. 1-2km no chance to ballot even. So I guess they might tighten their selection of PV going forward. -

From the school website :
•Parent volunteer application has closed for parents with child born in 2008 and 2009.
•No appeals for late submissions will be considered.
•Application for parents with child born in 2010 will open on 1 September 2014
•Interview for 2010 parent volunteer selection will be conducted in Dec 2014.
•Applications must reach the school by 15 October 2014.
•Period of service is estimated from July 2015- June 2016.
•Pei Chun Public School is not affiliated to any clan association.
2 PV exercise ago (2008 kids), they did select 1-2km, I am not sure about the current (2009 kids). Submit your registration asap, do not wait till the closing date, as they may closed earlier than the stated closing date due to overwhelming response.
Do note that historically balloting happens for 1-2km under P2B. -
does anyone have the results for fairfield stats for phase 2b? I missed calling them today. Thanks a million.

hi
I just got my PV rejection letter from Pei Hwa saying they reach the PV quota.
Does anyone knows if there are people who appeal and get into PV ?
Else is there any chance if to apply under Phase 2C if I am more than 2km ?
Thanks in advance -

School decision is final. That said, even if they offer it to you, I won't even suggest that you take it, unless you intend to move <1km.hi

This year, Pei Hwa has 41 applicants for 41 vacancies. In previous years, it has always faced the ballot for >2km in P2B. Hence, you may not even get your reward after serving as a PV in the school. So far, a number of schools have rejected PV >2km and given Pei Hwa balloting history, I won't be surprised if they are doing the same.
According to the stats in this forum, ballot in P2C has occurred for <2km since 2006 (<1km since 2010). You can probably conclude that there is no chance at all if you are >2km.
