2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
-
Hi Parents…
My son is under phase 2C( Within 1km ) for Fairfield Primary School. But from the statistics, for phase 2C, it will be at least 60 applicants for 27 Seats. Our next choice is Alexandra Primary, which we are more the 2km away, but we feel that we are likely to secure a place under Singapore Citizen. But if I don’t get a place for Fairfield, Alexandra Phase 2C(Sup) should be gone as well. Thus, any advice what should I do?
Thanks -
Just checked from moe website aitong got 37 registered for 31 vacancies. When I gave up p2b for aitong and rushed back to catholic high at 3:45pm today, 7 staying outside 2 km registered. Means those 30 applicants staying within 2 km will get the seats for sure. Feel very regretful as I also stay within 2km. If I have registered I will get a seat also !!! Now need to ballot for Catholic high this Friday… Crying…

Oh dear. This is the latest that MOE has taken to release balloting information for schools in Phase 2B. I wonder what is happening.
Looking at the application rate, I would say that this year is also the mildest in terms of competition in Phase 2B. Possibly the schools are well prepared and have been keeping PV numbers down to manageable numbers. -
Thanks alot for your advice. Will call the sch to check 2mrw.

Hi
Yes, I am less than 1km from Bedok green pri so if unsuccessful at temasek pri. I have to undergo balloting at phase 2Cs at bedok green pri??
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/bedok
last year (2013) and 2012 -
yellow color for Bedok Green means balloting for SC within 1 to 2 km
so if you're less than 1 km from Bedok Green, means you don't need to ballot.
but 2011 : under 2C Supp : Bedok Green become a colored red box.
not sure does red box mean SC < 1 km need to ballot, or does it mean PR < 1 km need to ballot. Not clear. I suggest you call up Bedok Green tomorrow, confirm with them under 2C Supp, for past 5 years, do you need to ballot, for SC < 1 km
if the school confirm that no need to ballot for past 4 years, means you're safe, because the trend confirm it, since you're < 1 km, from Bedok Green. I presume you're SC ?
if Yes, then go ahead to ballot at Temasek primary first, because you've Bedok Green as safety net backup school in 2C Supp, to catch you.
But Bedok Green is jus a stone away from my Block thus very convenient for my girl no need sch bus at all and good for her when she is in Pri 3 having CCA.
Temasek Pri require to take sch bus thus in delimma too.
anyone had experience this? -

Fairfield is the dream school for my child, however, when I weight the options that even for those less than 1 km, they only have around 80% chance of getting in. This is the historical data, not sure about this year.Hi Parents..

Oh dear. Be strong... What's done can't be undone. I wouldn't be able to comprehend the regrets you are going through. I can only hope that you find courage to overcome what lies ahead. -

Hard to tell the chances for Alexandra as it's very new. Some pple say this year they are expecting ballot for >2km, some pple say there might be ballot for 1-2km. No one can really advice you for this school due to lack of data. You just have to monitor and decide what risks you want to take.

Thank you dear. I feel so bad because I also have a little daughter. If I can register her brother in ATS this year, I don’t need to go thru this stressful process once again… Anyway I will try to stay positive. Start to pray for Friday’s battle

I have read in the earlier posts that online registration is treated equally as physical registration. I hope that is true because I am now in 2 minds about registering online and queuing up phsically the next day.

Ewww! That's just ... Unclassy. Please be sensitive. In the midst of all this stress we all don't need such unkind words (SAP brain or not :p)sembgal:
Limahkiaw, I was talking to Edgrace, no need your comment. You should be ashamed of yourself. Hope your child doesn't turn out like you. Your son has SAP brain? Oh really? I doubt with your words.

Hello I don't understand the kiasu mentality I registered my son in a neighborhood school but he has SAP brain .... Even if your kid goes into \"good\" school but has a neighborhood brain it will be the same ... Hope you all understand ... Hahaha
