In the 2 schools that my kids register at, they have a thick bible file of road address and the km stated in it.

        Krist Kong:
Just curious how a school justify the distance of 1km? 🙂

                  The official tool is
                  http://www.onemap.sg

Go to 'Services', select 'School Query',
click 'go', select 'find buildings around school',
then put in your postcode. The site will generate results and if you select the printer icon, you can see all the details.

Oops, should select 'find schools near buildings' to check what schools by distance are around your house.

                    hi,

it’s my boy’s turn to register next week. may I ask what are the chances of getting into HPPS in phase 2c for a SC living within 1km of the school? alternative schools after this distance would be Fairfield and New Town Pri.
                    thanks.

My husband was from Poi Ching when it was still in Toa payoh. It’s a good school. He did pretty well for his PSLE and went on to a good secondary school. Unfortunately the school shifted to Tampines which is very far for us. If we stay in the east definitely will consider sending my kids there!
