All About Full-Time Maids

I think Filipinos are just naturally friendly. I don’t mind, but wish they would understand that they should put their work first during work hours, then can chat later when work is done. I have seen many maids around my estate who are supposed to be walking the dog but instead stand in one place yakking away on phone.

Oh, someone accidentally turned on the video mode on the camera, so the maid was caught red handed. It wasn’t so much of a handphone issue, but trust. Friend had also previously busted the maid for sneaking out to withdraw money, buy things, etc.

advise please - my neighbour has been scolding my maid directly for chatting with her maid.
our kitchen windows face each other, so inevitably, the maids will have some sort of interaction.
I’ve tried telling my neighbour nicely that as much as we tell our maid not to talk to each other, if she has any further issues/discoveries, she can let me know instead of shouting at my maid directly.
she went bersek and started scolding me too.
is there anyway to resolve this? sigh. -

I had similar experience. My maid bought apples for our neighbour’s maid who complained to her that she has no fruits. And of course these 2 maids chatted alot. My neighbour confronted me and they thought I’m too liberal with my maid. I just apologised and told my maid to stop chatting to the neighbour’s maid. I told my maid if she insists on chatting, the neighbour may just sent her maid home and she will feel guilty.
My maid sticks to her promise, she doesn’t talk to the neighbour’s maid anymore, at least openly. So it is peace again with my neighbour. -
Nowadays, be it Indo or Pina helpers, they all owned mobile (smartphone). Funz, just wonder why are you letting go your wonderful helper if she is a good helper that hard to come by?

(for info city plaza is the old building opposite paya lebar MRT which most indonesian maid will go there on their off day)
i have been seen maid character thousands time through this 12 years.
i have been offered by view singapore family member to do this MAID AGENCY BUSINESS but like most parents here i used to scared when think about maid.
and also i didt want to do the business cos i was thinking i dont want to do human trade.
but i decide to went to the business is when have one of the maid having a chit chat when she waiting the phone being service = "she said mem why dont u be agent so u can find us good employer"
from there suddenly my mind is being tick… and i do some survey to my singaporean shops customer…
about how if i being an agent will u trust me to take a maid from my company… most of the customer say of course cos u can speak the languange and u been seen maid for so long in singapore in ur phone shop .
my company is an INDONESIAN EMBASSY ACCREDITED.
MY POINT to join here is to answer most parents question about some rules & regulation abouts maids and agent…i dont try to sell to all the mummies here…
AND I SEE MANY OF THE POSTED HERE IS AROUND DIRECT HIRED which is not using an agent… i have the latest article from INDONESIAN EMBASSY that is not allow maid & employer to use direct hired without application through agent.

Need advice regarding maid…
My maid eats the same food as us. All of us have our own plates though. However, security camera shows her filling the child’s plate and eating 2-3spoons from that . 6:20am- she needs to prepare breakfast for kid. camera shows her preparing 1 set full and taking to her room 1st(to eat later) and then coming and preparing for child. Then she has usual breakfast at 9am. she seems to have mini lunch at 11am(hidden) and normal lunch at 2pm. How do i handle this ? thanks. -
