Babynashi, u r better off than me. Rosyth is the only pri sch that's within 1 km to my place. Seats in phase 2c are lesser this yr despite the new ruling. I chose to give up the fight n opt for my former sch (option B) which is at amk ave 10. I've 2 former pri, 1 top sch in Clementi & 1 neighbourhood sch. I went ahead with the neighbourhood sch cos it's my 2nd best option. My gal wants me to register her in a Rosyth cos her best friend is going for it but I went ahead with option B since it's an easier way out for daddy and mummy. :boogie:

May I know which primary sch in amk? Coz I'm considering the schools in amk should I fail in balloting. My main concern is the location, must be easily assessible, like with a direct bus or something...thanks

Townsville Pri. Since Rosyth is too ‘hot’ in this area. U can try hougang pri too. It’s quite gd. Jus curious, any parents fr Rosyth has info for their Year 2013’s PSLE passing percentage for the Mainstream? Cos most pri schs don’t release the info anymore.

You should check out the schools in AMK and Serangoon area and have a back-up plan for phase 2C ballot. Some popular schools may already be filled by then.

From what I know, the more popular schools in AMK are Anderson, Ang Mo Kio Pri, Townsville (exclude SNGS which is \"hot fav\" and also in AMK). There are others like Da Qiao, Teck Ghee, Mayflower. Serangoon popular ones are Hougang Pri, Yangzhen. There is also Xinmin around the vicinity.

Yes most impt is the convenience for both parents and child. To me, distance is main priority. 2nd will be % of my chances cum distance? Always hv a back up sch n check on past balloting history to measure ur chances in getting into the sch. If all fails, let fate or rather MOE decide! Generally the schs in Serangoon, Hougang and Amk area are quite ok.

Yes! This year Rosyth, Yangzheng need balloting. Parents are prepared for backup at Zhonghua in Phase 2Cs. But be warned, if Zhonghua needs balloting at Phase 2Cs, balloting unsuccessful, parents have to travel to AMK or Hougang to seek alternative schools for Phase 3. Anything could happen this year. Just be prepared if you are going for balloting.
