      Hi all,

Would like to know of your opinion on this matter or how would you take this or advise your child, should your child encounter such situation.

My DD and her friend was walking out of the school towards the school gate when a senior boy came running from behind (playing with his friend), suddenly shove her friend while shouting β€˜GET LOST!’

Luckily her friend did not fall but the girls were taken aback from it.

When my DD told me this, I’m not sure how to respond. I just told her to move aside and let the boy pass-by. But she said it happens so fast that they didnt even have time to react.

My concern is that it may be a mishap waiting to happen. Or is this boy has the making of a bully or just plain rude and inconsiderate?

      What say you all?

As adults, we encounter such things all the time too. We get speeding cars coming right up behind us and flashing their headlights to tell us slow coaches to move out of their way. How do we deal with such incidents ourselves? I would choose to calmly stay my course, as long as I'm driving at the speed limit, and let the guy simmer behind before finally filtering off to another lane to speed away. Just knowing that I pissed off an a-hole can make my day πŸ™‚

The school is indeed within walking distance from the LRT.

All schools should have a learning support program for children with learning disabilities.

You may want to call up the school to confirm the details.

Very true. I'm only worried what if the student fell and hurt himself/herself as a result of the shove? Definitely the 'pusher' has no intention of 'falling' the other student but with students carrying heavy bag and having smaller physique - this could jolly well happen one day.

I'm wondering if the school should put teacher at the gate during dismissal time (just like during the PM session). Usually there are two teachers at the gate to facilitate the students exit (PM session), which I think serves more than just helping to control the traffic crossing. Students in the PM session does not run/push or play while exiting the gate, due to the presence of the teachers. If only they implement the same thing for morning session πŸ˜„ πŸ˜„

Any teachers from CCK here? πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

i just called up SVPS and was informed that i am staying within 1km of the school, think that will put me in P2B (correct me if i am wrong). I checked past record, P2B will too have to be balloted but the chances are quite high. Worth to give it a shot ??

                    Thanks.

                      Thanks.
Phase 2B is for PV parents, members of Grassroots etc; if you are just regular parents, even within 1km is still under Phase 2C.
do read up MOE's website on the phases in detail.
