Just because of the less mother tongue taught which makes this school attractive.

Y is it more attractive? I tot should be less attractive?

Yu Neng offers Chinese & Malay, Red Swastika offers only Chinese for mother tongue.

        Yu Neng is overrated.

This school is just an oridinary neighbourhood school.
Yu Neng is the oldest primary school in Sg.

Yu Neng suppose to be less attractive in general. Since there is a great demand for other popular schools, Yu Neng becomes the next substitute especially due to less mother tongue taught in school.

You might be right but do you stay in this area?

If yes, didn't you realise that there are lots of condos that are up recently at bedok reservoir?

If you based on their location, yu neng, red swastika, fengshan and Damai all happen to be within 1km... so logically these school will have a surge of people applying this year.

And these people might use Damai as a backup if they can't get to ballot in the 3 other schools i mentioned.

Yu Neng is too competitive. Tho I’m staying within 1km, I chose not to apply for Yu Neng coz i know cfm need to ballot in P2C

My friend’s daughter is in Yu Neng P1 this yr. The sch gives lots of homework and their math has completed addition of 100 and moving on to multiplication… My girl’s sch still doing addition not more than 40 n hardly have homework.

If staying in Bedok Reservoir, you missed out St. Hilda.

Many parents are also aiming for this school.

Well, Damai is a poor backup.

                  Taken fom St. Hilda’s website.

                  Total vacancies = 270
                  Total admitted for Phase 1 = 105
                  Total admitted for Phase 2A1 = 17
                  Total admitted for Phase 2A2 = 40
                  Total admitted for Phase 2B = 54
There are 54 vacancies for Phase 2C. As at 30 Jul 2014 (5pm), there are more than 54 Singapore Citizens (staying within 1km) who have registered.

There are always someone willing to try their luck through balloting.

Grandparents as caregivers living in Tampines, within 1km away from school.

Anyone who has breakdown figures for st Stephen, how many 1 km, 1-2,above 2?

Called school but they cannot disclose, appreciate if someone can share the statistics…
                      Thanks in advance.

If i didn’t remember wrongly from last year’s post, St Stephen don’t disclose anything.

But school should show breakdown right.? Anyone who went down to school, can share ?

                      Thanks

St hilda is definately not within 1km for these condos, waterfront key, clear water, bay water, waterfront waves, waterfront gold, waterfront Isle and aquarius by the park.

damai as poor backup or not have to depends on the Phase 2Csupp if the rest of the schools have vacancies or not. and if parents want their kids to travel or not.

Even if parents wanna go by caregiver option...they can't even stand a chance to ballot in st hilda as historically its balloting for SC within 1KM....
