you have a lifetime to do more for your child. Primary school is nothing if you are aware of what being a parent is.
Some regret putting their child into competitive school making their child break both emotionally and academically.
      :goodpost:
parenting is not just about primary school.
as it is, there is no childhood to enjoy.
it is a very long journey and primary school now is no walk in the park.

Janet has her view, but I don't think it's universally shared. I have many friends and relatives whose kids, even if they grumble about work etc, are enjoying their school life overall. For my own kids, even though they were only in Singapore school for short periods, they enjoyed it overall. How a child reacts to competition depends to a large extent on how the family takes it, and also his own ability. How happy a child is through school is largely in the hands of the parents and the expectations set in the home. Childhood can still be enjoyed.
Is call the Sch suppose to call to inform the balloting even though moe published the results?

Yes by now you should have received the phone call from school to inform of the balloting.

I call the Sch and they say you hv the information during registration right? Seems like they don't call...
I experienced the same things. No call from school, so I guess I'd just follow MOE announcement and show up tomorrow at school at 9am for balloting.

Strange… Thought the school will normally SMS or call the parent… Otherwise, is deemed to be successful in the application…

Everyone's experience is different. DD is enjoying her childhood so is DS. Yes it is competitive but on the whole manageable.

yes i did not receive any calls or sms. i just call up the school to verify if my son's registration falls under balloting.

was informed that all SC residing within 1km (which was my case) has been successfully submitted under phase 2C. there is no sms or calls from school but they will send out the enrollment by next week.

                😓 😓 😓

Thought on line registration should hv a confirmation page for you to print out? Think based on that should be sufficient to substantiate yr application in case they claimed that you didn't submit.

to be honest, i’m also getting a bit paranoid…

i registered online and got in without balloting under 2c (according to the MOE website) but no news from the school so far. i’ve heard of successful applicants (different sch) who’ve received a confirmation sms from the school and with the recent news abt singpass getting hacked, can’t help but worry that something may have gone wrong with my online application too. feel like calling the school but don’t want to disturb them cos i know they must be very busy now.
