              m240:
Anyone know about the P1 Integrity 9 learning journey this Wednesday? Where is the school going to? What does the child need to bring? Thanks.

Hi m240, welcome to Pei Hwa! Hope your child has settled well in his new class.

My P1 dd's class is also going for their learning journey this Wed, together with a few other classes. I believe they are going to the same place, West Coast Park for \"shark\" hunt. According to her form teacher, they need to bring along:
              (1) Their telescopes (which they were supposed to make recently)
              (2) Mosquito patch
              (3) Poncho/raincoat
              (4) Mineral water bottle (to lighten their load as it can be disposed after drinking. But you can bring your own water bottle if you wish)
              (5) Some snacks if you wish to bring

They can also buy food from Macdonalds over there. Was told not to allow child to bring more than $10, if parents allow him/her to buy from Macdonalds.

                  Hi bgmum,

Thanks for the information, it is very useful. She is settling well but it seemed that I am not getting enough information from the teacher. Am still trying to figure out how things work here.

It also stated the stuff to bring for the trip. Additionally, my dd's teachers would provide their own regular email updates on lessons/ongoing class activities & reminders including this coming trip. I suppose teachers in other classes would do the same but I'm not very sure.

I saw the notice yesterday - also found out that my child’s form teacher doesn’t use email often. Your dd’s form teacher sounds like a good teacher, my child’s teacher seldom communicate with parents.

Why don’t you drop down to school and talk to the teacher face to face.

See if you could open another channel of communication.
