Hi bgmum,
Thanks for the information, it is very useful. She is settling well but it seemed that I am not getting enough information from the teacher. Am still trying to figure out how things work here.
Which class is your child in? Hope it's not the last class.
There is no banding in P1. Everyone comes in as equal.
I think Scary is asking if m240's child is in class 9, which is in-charge by a particular teacher...
My child is indeed in class 9.
Any suggestions how make things work with this teacher? -

Archon - thanks for the suggestion, am planning to so soon.
Things also should get better once we are familiar with how things work. -

Anyone know about the P1 Integrity 9 learning journey this Wednesday? Where is the school going to? What does the child need to bring? Thanks.
Hi m240, welcome to Pei Hwa! Hope your child has settled well in his new class.
My P1 dd’s class is also going for their learning journey this Wed, together with a few other classes. I believe they are going to the same place, West Coast Park for "shark" hunt. According to her form teacher, they need to bring along:
(1) Their telescopes (which they were supposed to make recently)
(2) Mosquito patch
(3) Poncho/raincoat
(4) Mineral water bottle (to lighten their load as it can be disposed after drinking. But you can bring your own water bottle if you wish)
(5) Some snacks if you wish to bring
They can also buy food from Macdonalds over there. Was told not to allow child to bring more than $10, if parents allow him/her to buy from Macdonalds.

Hi m240, you are welcome. There was a notice on the trip issued by school a few days ago which u should have received. It also stated the stuff to bring for the trip. Additionally, my dd’s teachers would provide their own regular email updates on lessons/ongoing class activities & reminders including this coming trip. I suppose teachers in other classes would do the same but I’m not very sure.
I saw the notice yesterday - also found out that my child’s form teacher doesn’t use email often. Your dd’s form teacher sounds like a good teacher, my child’s teacher seldom communicate with parents. -

Mine has just been transferred to P1 after the recent Jun holiday.

RE: Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary
My child (newly transferred) is now in Integrity 9. Am wondering if there is a parent networking group for the class or the level?
If there is one, I would like to join. If you know of how to join the group or the contact details of the person-in-charge, please let me know.
Thanks in advanced. -
RE: Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary
Hi,
My child is a newly transferred P1 student in PHPPS.
Can I check if this week’s 听写 is which set? 听写(六) or 听写(七)?
Thank you.
