Hi
430pm school bus will only operate daily when cca starts or when there are normal sch day. For example,.first wk.of every Jan & national day eve celebration where the sch finishes early, there will not be any 430pm sch bus. Quite inconvenient but no choice. … -

There is only 1 class for P1. It is very convenient as it is located within the school compound and many parents like it. So do register on the day of orientation
I heard that some of the student care have very limited seats and I wonder is that the situation for SMPS. Hopefully, DD can also get use to the long journey to and from school. -

Hi bbhippo,Hi Parents,
Can anyone advise as to when do we start registering the child for the school student care and Transport? This is for new student going P1 next year.
Would also like to check as well whether the CCA bus at 4.30pm is for all days of the week or only for those days with CCA. From the school website, it seems like CCA is not for all days of the week.
Thanks.
Welcome to SMPS :rahrah:
You can also register earlier by heading down to the student care centre located within the school to register if you don't want to wait till orientation day.
My dd is at the centre and we find the teachers to be very loving to the kids. Totally helps with the school work too and so the little ones will probably not have any homework left to do by the time they get home. -
Thanks Parents. I have already registered DD for the student care. I am so glad to hear so many good reviews so hoping it will be good. YMCA has also sent me a copy of their program and it mention that there is a bus pick up at 5.45pm. Is there really one or the last bus to take is the CCA bus at 4.30pm?

This last bus at 5.45pm doesn’t operate island wide. Only around the school area. You need to get the sch bus contact fr the student care and give him a call to check whether is yr area covered.

that's fast
the teachers for P1 class are good! well taken care off especially in term of homework and preparation/revison for spelling/mini tests. the parents dont need to do anything more (in term of school work) once the child is back home. from 4.30 - 6pm the children will be playing.... their favourite time!

My DD joining the school next year... Following the forum here. Hello everyone

My DD is 2009 born…planning to register to SMPS next year…just curious whether SMPS’s academic performance has improved over the last couple of years as my daughter seems to be more academically inclined. She can work hard provided given right motivation, direction and push. Agree that these have to be provided both by the teachers and parents but just wondering whether SMPS would provide right environment for her to bloom…

hi dear parents... my daughter is currently in 1 Devotion. Are there any other parents here of kids from the same class? Shall we connect? Cheers

SMPS is definitely academically challenging.
