I want to send my "big thank you" to all parents in this forum. You made my decision making easier through your inputs. My son successfully got the place in P2C.
Goodluck to all parents registering in P2CS! -

I noticed in the school calendar, 3-5 Nov is Palm View Challenge. Can any mommies with kids in the school provide some information.
I don’t mind to be in the parent support group within my ability. How to join?
Thanking in advance. -

The PSG Exco was just formed a few months back. Existing parents will be invited to join PSG. A letter should be out very soon.I noticed in the school calendar, 3-5 Nov is Palm View Challenge. Can any mommies with kids in the school provide some information.

Incoming parents.. don worry. We will be having recruitment drives. Do keep a lookout for us during selected school events! -
Welcome Hock !!!
New teaching staffs are selected and posted into the schools each year (more in second half) to cope with the incoming students. Not all the teachers will move up with the P1 batch to P2. Other than the pioneer batch, the existing P1 should have 8 classes.
Hahah … thank you for the welcome, and the clarification! -
Welcome to the big family! :rahrah: I believe parents who send their child to Palm View share the same belief of a holistic education. Yes we are still far(or indeed will never happen) from totally doing away with results but at least this school offers a more balanced approach in my opinion. That's the reason why I chose this school initially. I still remembered I had only the principal Mr Chua to rely on 2 years ago. No open house. No teachers to talk to. No students' work to see. No Kiasu forum. Nevertheless, I am glad that most things turn out well so far. So lucky for parents who are registering their child this year.
The maximum students that Palm View will be taking is 240, same as last year. This means there will be 8 classes of 30 students max. The teaching staff should be recruited by 2nd half of the year. Given the school's prior experience, I forsee there should not be any big problem.
Thank you for the welcome ctmy, and for the info! I don't think student population should be an issue either, as long as the teaching staff can cope and are clear on the school's lead.
Salut to you for being brave enough to \"pave the way\"! I have been fortunate to have discovered this forum, although I hadn't personally seen PV's student works either, nor even been to the open house (completely missed the one in July sheesh).
I think, as a parent, as long as you are clear on your parenting principles and where you want to bring your child ... none of that matters really. The only thing within our control are the choices we make with the information we have. Besides, school is just 50%. The other 50% is family support and guidance. What I believe anyway
