Hi just received letter from the school that my dd had secured a place in p1 next year. Orientation is on 1 Nov. I am new to the school and appreciate if anyone could share with me how much is the transport cost from Potong Pasir to the sch?

Thanks jmgan, the problem is she mentioned her form teacher is absent for almost a week and one of the days the children were just waiting for some teacher to ask them to go for assembly but none came. Some p2 children guided them, which is why I wanted to know how is it in other classes work wise.

Thank goodness, this kind of thing will not happen in my DD's school.

School needs to make planning. Something to ponder about.

Hi joybabe, may I know what made u choose olgc for your dd? I am considering this school in phase 2c supp.

Hi TKChua, I chose the sch mainly because it’s the nearest gal sch. I had actually enrolled my dd in IJ Katong initially to avoid balloting but was later found out that there is no sch bus from Potong Pasir to IJ Katong. I did withdrawal on the last day and quickly enrolled her as I felt high chance without balloting for >2km in OLGC. I’m quite pleased with the staff and teachers during registration process.

I thought you are applying for Marymount convent? Whichever schools you have chosen, hope no balloting required! I am having headache as to which one to go for... but will monitor and choose one without balloting

[/quote]Finn Finn - yes, first choice mcs but I worry need balloting for applicant staying more than 2km. I want to secure a place without balloting. Chij olgc is 1-2km and last year stat was ballot for spr. Even though left with 9 places I hope sc still stand a good chance.

I think last year stats was balloting for PR in 2C. Don't think OLGC entered 2CS last year, so 9 seats for 1-2km might be risky. But good luck! Hope there's no balloting for you!
