Just want to share something:

Last few days my son brought back a new pencil case and a box of colour pencil, he claimed that there were gifts from his classmate as my son helping him in the class (My son helps him to find his diary book and water bottles as the classmate lost somewhere). I was so doubts as I not sure whether his words were reliable or not. I worry that he took/steal something not belonging to him. The pencil case is with Ben 10 picture (which is my son favorite show) and seems like not cheap.
I keep asking my son using the hard and soft approach but not able to get the answer. So, I asked the form teacher to help me to investigate. After taking few days, finally this morning I received an email from his form teacher and being told that these were really an appreciated gift from his classmate and the form teacher also commented that my son is kind, honest and helpful in the class. I am so glad to hear that because I always want him to be independent and not always the one who need cares from others and importantly my son did not lie to me.

Your son is so sweet!!! My husband always tell me he would rather has a son that has a compassionate heart than a scholar son who does not know how to show love to others. Well done mummy.

I also headache how to handle 3 kids. Tentatively will hire a maid or the worst case scenario quit job and fully look after them for 2 years. I think after age 2, the kid will be easier to look after. Importantly the family members (hubby) must fully support, in term of helping in housework, teaching the kid etc.

Yes, i think all parents wish to have kid with compassionate heart than a scholar kid (but better to have both lor). This is really happen in my own family where my brother (a doctor) really poor while communicate with my parent and lots of conflicts happen. My brother is very success in his career, every month he give allowances to my parent also but he don’t know how to pleased the old folk as he always “follow the book” type. At the end I always become the middle man to pass messages and console both parties.

Congrats Anna, my dd is in the same class as your ds. I'm now 30 weeks pregnant with my no.3. Seems like there are many mummies with 3 kids here. :celebrate:

Welcome to this thread & congats to you also. I need to learn from you how to handle 3 kids. Who will look after them and who will help you during the confinement period?
The second topical test already return by the teacher, my son is not doing very well but got some improvement. According to him some classmates scored full marks.

According to my son 5 pupils score full marks. The form teacher gave some gifts to them. My son scored 23/25 due to his careless mistake. Did you mommies teach your kiddos before the test? I am wondering, because I got no time to teach him.

Do u send your kids to math tuition? i did not send him to math tuition but teach at home. My son cannot do well in math because he not use to the question type. We are using the traditional way like 2 + _ = 8 when teaching at home. And now the math questions are not the straight away type, that’s why he cannot answer. Since i already recover from morning sickness, i may get some enrichment book for him to do, hope it will help.

Hi anna, my mum will be taking leave to look after me for the 1st 2 weeks of my confinement and subsequent 3rd & 4th wk will be solely me and my maid. As for food, i will be ordering tingkat.


my dd scored the same mark as the 1st topical test, average marks with careless mistakes. Sigh!

I will hire a confinement lady for 4 weeks. I not really particular on food but i hope i can have a good rest during the first 4 weeks, so i decided to get an experience confinement lady to help me.
Do your DS enjoy the school life and any comment/feedback? My son said he likes the Chinese teacher (he still in 1G for MT) and I myself also feel that she is good and responsible. So far, he can do well in Chinese (although not every time can score full mark in tin xie) but we are not so demanding as we not really spend time to teach him and furthermore he also did not attend any enrichment class, except the new class opening in last Sat at DLS.
