Hi Everyone, my son will be attending ACSP primary one next year. Anyone else? I've just registered him for the in house student care as I'd prefer for him not to be watching TV all afternoon.

Hi Parents,
Many years ago, a family friend mentioned that she was surprised that the Primary 1 boys had to sit for an assessment paper. The results were used to band them according to their ability and the students of similar ability were assigned to the same class.
Can anyone comment if this is still true?
Thank you in advance! -

Nope, even if they did have such an assessment paper for banding the P1 many years back, it no longer do so. My son was in P1 in 2012, he did not sit for any assessment paper for the purpose of banding.

Would like to learn more abt ACS from other parents.

Thank you v much! -

Phew, that is exactly what I am worried about. :boogie: I am staying within 1-2km for both ACSJ & ACSP, so will monitor both schools and hopefully chances is good for DS 2015 enrollment. Are your son now studying in ACSP, how do you find the school? -
Oh dear, I cant reply u as my kid will only go over next year. Maybe a more experienced parent can help shed more details.
